In a way yes. To be more specific Star Fleet.

If you look up the IAQ on Chakats Den, a summary of Fleet is.

Star Fleet are both the police and the army of the Stellar Federation. They are responsible for policing interplanetary matters, patrolling space between member planets, defending them against hostile forces, exploring new star systems and surveying new planets for potential exploitation, and First Contact situations.

Although from I've found it's not something Goldy has concentrated on very much. I may be wrong though.
