my original species,
currently named dreech/dreeches, i might ask for better names for them maybe :3
this is a CLOSED species for now, if i see people with interest for them i might make them open
well, let's go to the description of each part.
- - please take your time and do your best to read EVERYTHING before commenting or asking for one - -
- - part 1 - -
basic body shape
dreeches possess a mask covering theyr face, masks can be anything as explained in part 2
the front feets are birdlike, and very strong, posess claws, can hurt very badly when pissed off.
the back feets are usually thin and abled to make them jump fairly well.
they posses a long tail, wich allows them to handle and allows to turn faster when running, the tail is so strong they can sit on them
on the ribcage there will be allways some green leaves coming out,
depending on the color and health of the leaves you can see if a dreech is healthy or not.
they have 2 pairs of ears, the bigger ones can hear things from very far, but not things that are close to them.
the smaller ones can only catch the sound of things close to the dreeches.
some dreeches thinks they dont have the smaller pair of ears, so when they make theyr masks, they include a new small pair of ears, and put them on the place of the real ones, making the original ears useless.
dreeches dont normally posses pupils, but theyr can have, and the colors can vary a lot, eyes are the only thing on a dreech body that can actually glow.
a dreech's mouth and insides has allways that colour, as that is the colour of theyr interior body, a colour they obtain during theyr cocoon stage.
- - - Dreechs and food - - -
dreechs can eat everything they can bite with theyr small mouths.
some dreechs might like to eat fruits, plants or chocolate, while others might enjoy the taste of pencil shavings
it depends of the things that are at it's reach when they are hungry,however they can only eat once they acquire a mask.
you can allways try hading them something you want them to eat, they will nibble on it and eat it or leave it on the floor.
not all the dreechs like the same things, each one is unique and has different likes and dislikes ^^

mask possibilities
a dreech is blind when they come out of theyr cocoon.
they touch everything on theyr surroundings trying to find something that they like, to use as a face.
when they find something they like, they will try those things:
1- try to use the thing as theyr face.
2- if they cant use the thing as a face, they create a mask simulating that thing with theyr own (tree)sap
3- if they cant find something they like, or arent good at modelling with theyr sap, they can make a common basic mask, however there is allways a chance that they can end up with a deformed mask or one that can easily break.
on that image you can see someexamples of the possibilityes. but those are infinite.
whatever the mask they use, theyr mouths will be allways the same, the tongue and inner muths will remain with that colour.
when they have the done mask, they put it on theyr faces, instantly theyr head bones and roots take the form of the mask, permanently attaching it to theyr faces.
trying to remove theyr mask from the faces when it's allready attached will mean a lot of pain to them, expect them to bleed a lot and some might even die. they are fragile creatures so be carefull

growing by seeds
when a dreech is just a seed, they resemble in shape, size and weight to a normal corncob grain.
but they have a particular match of colours that will give an idea of how will look the fully grown dreech.
the seeds are planted in special soil and watere once per week.
the time to grow varies a lot, and it might show the personality of the dreech, for example:
if one dreech takes a lot if time to grow, it might end up in a very sleepy or lazy dreech
if they grow faster you might have a very energetic dreech
if they allmost instantly grow you will have a very hyperactive one!
when the flower fully grows, you will see a small green cocoon, inside that tiny thing it'syour baby dreech growing, expecting to see you and theyr new home.
the cocoon grows and the flower bends due to the weight.
the dreeches get nutrients from the flower, those nutrients are received throught the sides of theyr bodyes, a place where later, will grow some leaves to cover the small tube where the nutrients came from the plant.
the nutrients have that particular blue-ish colour that will remain forever on the insides of a dreech.
once the cocoon is big enough, it falls from the flower, breaking a little, then , with some help, the baby dreech will came out.
but dont be scared, since theyhave no face, they have theyr bones covered on that blue-ish substance, try to not get theyr bones dirty or they might get sick.

a dreech's death
a dreech's lifespawn is around 50 human years (100 for a dreech)
once they reach the end of theyr days, they will search the spot where they have been since they reached your home.
they will take out theyr masks and leave it in front of them, as a last goodbye gift for you .
they will then, cover theyr faces and curl.
in some minutes or hours they pass away, it's fully adviced to you to NOT touch theyr bodyes.
when sometime has passed theyr bodyes take the color of autumn leaves,and theyr body leafs fall away.
they then dry, and broke in pieces wich are carryed away by winds.
when the full body has been blown away you might be abled to see a small green thing.
if you open it, you will be abled to see a new dreech seed, will be mostly the same pattern and colour of the recently passed away dreech, but what will come out from the seed might not be exactly your dreech.
seeds might not appear if you have mistreated your dreech during theyr life.

there you can see a sketch of theyr basic anathomy.
the red lines are an app`roximate of how a dreech bones are. you can also see theyr bone faces remain the same even with a mask.
on the bottom sketch you can see the lenght of theyr tongues.
the blue areas on the white sketch shows where a dreech can grow plants and flowers at will.

mask-making and mating
as i said before, when a dreech is on theyr first days, they spend theyr times rubbing things with theyr faces and touching them, in order to find a thing they like and want to make theyr faces.
(try to not put your fingers on theyr face, believe me you will not want to see a very creepy finger-faced dreech running around your house)
on theyr first days the leaves from theyr bodyes produce a lot of tree sap (tree sap is also theyr blood)
when they find something to make a mask, they modell it fully from theyr sap.
colours come out almost magically, no one has seen a dreech painting a mask.
when the mask is done, they just put in on theyr faces and the body makes the rest, this process may be painful for them as they whole body reacomodates.
depending on the colour of the thing they choosen as a mask, theyr body colour fully changes.
the main pelt will be allways a darker tone, so the leaves can be easily seen, also that makes any flower or bonsai they grow on theyr bodyes look more beautifull.
when 2 or more dreeches like a lot themselves, they can make a baby dreech, how?
they gather leaves and things, then they sit together and esculpt theyr own baby dreech wich becomes to life when its allmost finished.
i stronlgy recomend you to not bother them meanwhile, or they will leave the dreech as an incompleted baby, and it can die, or worse, craw along your house half done like a zombie.

well, the process of planting and watering them should be left to me, i forgot to explain that when a dreech leaves a seed, it should be returned to me to make it grow again :3
but if you ever own more than 2 dreeches, you can make them mate 2 times per year and raise your very own one :3 <3

pasa que perdi el dibujo en el que tenia ejemplos de cuantas plantas pueden crecer y eso ;-;
cuando haga otro, lo incorporo a las referencias y eso ^^
si queres que sean mas como plantitas y tenes uno, podes hacer que crescan todas las plantas que quieras en las zonas en las que pueden crecer, los limites para las plantas que puedan crecer son infinitos practicamente ^^
pasa que perdi el dibujo en el que tenia ejemplos de cuantas plantas pueden crecer y eso ;-;
cuando haga otro, lo incorporo a las referencias y eso ^^
si queres que sean mas como plantitas y tenes uno, podes hacer que crescan todas las plantas que quieras en las zonas en las que pueden crecer, los limites para las plantas que puedan crecer son infinitos practicamente ^^
both sides, the leafs on the dreech's ribs are on each side of the body and have the same amount and shape of leaves/grass andleaks the same amount of sap when first borns, remember that once they acquire a mask the sap stops flowing, otherwise they could die as the sap is theyr blood
