Billy Connolly used to tell a story about attending a boy's school in Scotland, and the swim outings he'd get dragged off to, forced into thick woolen swim trunks which would swell up with the inhospitably cold lake water like a cloud, and I can't help but be reminded of this as I look at poor Gem here.
