Sounds like a pretentious name, eh? However, this was for a collaborative portfolio project from 2005 that never got off the ground - an anthro tarot folio. I had 'The World.'
I think this is one of the first pieces i did where i 'stretched my legs' as far as arranging elements to create an interesting composition - something i've worked on developing since then.
I don't think i could ever return to this piece, since years have passed (and my abilities have grown, as well as my anthro anatomy) - but this is still cool nonetheless, i think.
My favourite part is her hand and smoking palm... that hand actually looks pretty decent despite its extreme position. Hands are so hard to get right D:

Yeah... that seems to happen (or not happen) a lot :-/ Maybe it's the furry slacker element seeping in.
*raises a ruckus of encouragement for you to work on a pinup for Sekhmet's folio!* I want to see that one come to fruition. :)
And thanks too, for liking this. And saying so.

I dunno, i remember your name being on the list of members, but i don't recall if it had a species and theme chosen. I think you must have been allowed into the community though, since you're on the list.
Man, art block sucks :-/
In other news though (old news) your icon is really adorable.

Ooooh. I love this one. The title was a little confusing at first until I learned its origins.
Let the compliments begin? >.>
First of all, you managed to incorporate shapes beautifully into the piece, as you seem to do a lot. Secondly, the anatomy is wonderful, and the incorporation of wings and fires give it an alluring, otherworldly feel. The teardrop, I have to say, DOES sort of attract my eye ( hah. Haha. Lame joke on me. ) towards the middle to follow the shape, and even though it's wonderfully incorporated, it seems to take attention away from the gorgeous wings and other parts of the piece.
Long story short - I love it, as usual. XD <3
Keep up the great work, hon. Ilove seeing what you can do. x3
-Love,
Fangirl Minerva. XD

I like the teardrop design here too, and the way her body makes up a part of it. (it's nice how that works sometimes... i'm drawing something and the way it's coming out makes me think of something else, and so i go with it)
A few people have mentioned compositional things - i think it could have been more balanced if i'd finished it, instead of having all that negative space around what you see inked there.
It's hard to see, but there's a bunch of lighty sketched crap below the winged horsegirl that i never ironed out.
I couldn't for the life of me think of what to do with the top of the page though... i remember wracking my brain about that.
Thanks for your comments, as always. You're such a sweethart :) (Hah! We recycle puns in this town!)
Much love back!
