Inspired by actual animal mutation, I decided to tweak my previous character a bit. Since I do not yet have a proper reference sheet, I'll throw some information in here.
Name: Viola.
Species: Langurhali.
Gender: Female.
Ideal Environment: Old growth forests.
Diet: Frugivorous.
Occupation: Seer.
Personality: Shy, reclusive, creative, adventurous, relaxed.
Mutation: Diprosopus (facial duplication)/"Janus" condition.
Single skull divided into two muzzles at an angle of roughly thirty degrees from each other. Each face has one ear, one horn, one nose, one mouth, and one eye, with a third that has been fused in the center. The body is one complete organ system (with a separate larynx for both faces). Swallowing, breathing, speaking, and blinking (of the left and right eyes only) are simultaneous.
Other Details:
- One brain controls the entire body, including each 'face'. Viola is a single personality (not to be confused with conjoined twins).
- The right eye is brown, the left eye is blue. The central eye typically remains closed; only open during meditation, foresight, and hypnosis; it is aqua-blue in color and pupil-less (likely due to corneal opacity).
- Labial pits on each muzzle sense heat. Both tongues are forked and blue in color.
- Fur is iridescent and the pattern is intended for camouflage - she is not albino, nor a specific leopard-type. Spots, eye-markings, and tongues are bioluminescent (visible in ultraviolet light).
- The spine is elastic and the tail can stretch to three times the length of her body. It is covered in fluffy fur (typical to the rest of the body), lengthening down toward tip; the longest strands hide a scorpion-like barb and venom-sac filled with a dangerous neurotoxin (similar to TEA/curare) that targets the association nerves of the Somatic system, inhibiting the control of motor functions, yet allowing the brain and other organs of the autonomic system to continue normal processes.
- Three large toes/fingers (the middle being the largest in both cases) with a dewclaw/thumb on each.
- Hair is cropped into a mohawk, but the bangs are long and often dyed from pigments made from local vegetation.
- Flexible and agile, she has an affinity for climbing trees, singing, meditating, ferns, moss, wildflowers, mushrooms, spider-webs, fireflies, crystals/minerals, skulls, skeleton keys, buttons, knee-socks, honey, and soda (when she happens across it).

Oh man, this is one of my favorite Langurhali. Not that I'm biased ;) though mine have separate brains, this concept is very awesome! I adore this mutation and how the facial muscles move together rather than separately. I love that the third eye is also capable of hypnosis and all that, very awesome and the labial pits <3 <3 And you can't go wrong with glowy bits! I love that you've done your research here, the details and the art are just fantastic. ^^ Thanks so much for making her! I'd love to add her to the Langurhali groups I've made on dA as well as here, with credit and linking back of course? :)
Yey! This comment made my day! Thank you! Yes, of course, I would be honored. :D
I'll be working on a few more pieces and eventually a full reference sheet displaying the glows and third eye. Overall, I wanted to design a character that stayed true to your creation. I'm glad to know I've accomplished that here. It was so much fun! :)

Oh man I am so in love with this character design! The long multi-coloured hair and the way you've conjoined the faces and that hidden barb and sack are such awesome details, and I love how casually you've made her look in that pose. The socks are so cute and funky and fit this so well and your technical skill displayed in this is phenomenal, I'm drooling over all the details in the hands and feet you've done and the weight of the fur and how fully formed the skull is, this is so fantastic.
