Directly comparing the two images, I like your version a bit better - the colors are more subtle, not over-saturated, and more uniform across the whole picture.

It'd be easier just to draw new ones... which is actually what I'm planning on doing next. :P This was fun, but I think I've got what I want from it for now, so it's time to move on to other work now.

That's either a tiny, tiny fox or some giant mushrooms, but either way the picture is absolutely adorable. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Wonderlandish themes like this, as well a for mushrooms of all shapes and sizes, and it's kind of fun to be able to compare your version of the picture with the original. Both are really pretty, but I kind of like that you went for the softer, more pastel look as well as fading the trees out a bit more. No real reason, though, other than it's pretty.

Honestly those are all kind of flukes of the medium, it was just easier to do things this way, but I'm glad you like the result. :P Heh, and I do agree, fantasy landscapes can be a lot of fun. Giant mushrooms are always a good time!

That was such a weird choice of sound effects. Killing them instantly brought me back to a warm summer day at the lake... I'm not sure that's the effect killing an innocent monster should have. Why on earth do they sound like loons? x3

Oh man, from the thumbnail I totally thought that mushroom was trying to EAT him. Thought the underside was teeth.
