these are some of the little guys i printed on my 3d printer when it was working.
all except the bobble head in back who came from the store unpainted.
i've been spending on the railroad what need to save up to get it fixed and going again. all things eventually.

yes. the ones not seen are riding some of the trains already. most of the characters seen here are too large, and most everything else too small, except some of the seating, which those seen here aren't quite right either. i'll post interiors with scale figures at some point.
nope. i paid 1600 (afinia/up), which was upper middle (for home hobby type ones, which are typically small and slow. all that will change and get even cheaper if/when they become a commodity item, like regular printers). you can get one (solidoodle) as cheap as $600. top of the line makerbot (dual filiment, self unloading) is around $2200 last time i checked.
Yeah I always really liked them and seemed interested in them I saw one the other day I forgot the brand name but it was really cool it scans 3d objects into your computer for you then puts them on a 3-d file for you then you can like do whatever you want with the 3-d file and then print it out on a 3-d printer it was amazeing OwO
