Here's a piece I've been working on over the last few months! It's the wrap around cover for the 2014 Texas Furry Fiesta conbook, where the theme is Heroes and Villains! (I'll be there as GoH next year, and I'm excited!)
There are 20 pairs of heroes and villains!

Hook, Riker/Borg, Cpt. Hammer/Dr. Horrible, Thor/Loki, Harry Potter/Voldemort, Sarah Connor/Terminator, Starfox/Wolf O'Donnell, Dr. Who/Dalek, Frodo/Gollum, Wolverine/Sabertooth
Acrylic/Watercolor, 12x18"(ish), & many hours
Category Artwork (Traditional) / Fanart
Species Unspecified / Any
Size 1200 x 827px
File Size 541.3 kB
yeah, but makes no sense when you think about the fact that when they were first introduced into the doctor who universe, they were already the epitome of killing machines with no other emotion then hatred for any other living thing. and somehow, when every something happens to them, they become more dangerous?
OMG @_@ It's... the greatest... battle......... EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
You know, it kind of reminds me of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Wg.....y4zQA&hd=1

*Which is better Heroes or Villains?...There's only way to find out...FIGHT!!! XD.
I forgot too mention the detail on every individual is outstanding. So many characters from various works of fiction yet the blend so well together & look badass in furry form. Love the framing of the piece. Cool concept too.

Taken from the Star Fox Wiki:
"In promotional materials for the original SNES game, the entire team had what appeared to be metallic-looking feet and ankles rather than boots. It was theorized that the Star Fox team had their legs amputated and replaced with futuristic prosthetics to prevent loss of consciousness while flying, as gravity tends to force blood away from the brain and toward the lower extremities. It is also likely that this was done not as a conscious artistic choice but rather a budget concern."

Right, because it was more aesthetically pleasing.
The reasoning behind the entire team having metal legs is fascinating and not, imo, something that should be carelessly brushed off as 'fan speculation.'
Original and 64 Fox have metal legs. Period, end of story.
Whether the designers changed it in later games due to a larger budget or fan preference is not my concern. I am merely attempting to shed light on a fantastic little nugget of starfox trivia that most people overlook or brush aside, as is being done here.
I like Fox with either kind of legs, but that doesn't mean that metal legs didn't happen!
You can't really argue with two different game cases that depict Fox having metal legs, but if you'd like to try please be my guest.

There's a picture on the front of two different games depicting it. I'm just not sure how much more plain you can get. Consider it what you want, but nintendo has acknowledged this fact themselves as a clever little money saving detail that helped with the cost of rendering the characters. If that's not enough, then wait for an answer from WoG.
Whether you want to hear it from them directly or not, the covers are still the same.
BUT
It would appear that we do not agree on this topic, so I will politely take my leave.
I just wanted to point out a bit of awesome trivia.

Nice art making as always Teagan and Kenket.
I will try to buy Nordguard the hard cover edition when I can, and I would also like to purchase additional copies when I can to share with others, perhaps with the Toronto Public Library's Judith Merril Science Fiction and Fantasy book collection at the city's Lillian H. Smith branch.
Already my city library has "Draw Furries", "Draw More Furries", "Drawing Fantastic Furries" and "Freaks! Drawing Fantasy Anthropomorphic Creatures" in the library system, so yes now one can actually borrow furry fandom books at my public library.

Faving this for a few reasons.
1: I like the anthromorphed Mario. Then again, I just like seeing Mario Anthromorphed.
2: Stay Puft, because nasty hippos are awesome.
3: Snake Voldemort, because I think that is really clever.
4: I don't know who the opossum at the top is supposed to be, but he looks adorable. I heart opossums.
5: Jackalope Obi-Wan! XD

By all the epicness gods, this is perfect. Hippo marshmallow man. Dalek with cat ears.
There's an appalling lack of love for Corgi Frodo. I'm gonna see the hobbits as corgis when I read the books now.
'I wonder if we shall ever be put into songs or tales. We're in one, or course; but I mean: put into words, you know, told by the fireside, or read out of a great big book with red and black letters, years and years afterwards. And people will say: "Let's hear about Frodo and the Ring!" And they'll say: "Yes, that's one of my favourite stories. Frodo was very brave. wasn't he, dad?" "Yes, my boy, the famousest of the corgis, and that's saying a lot."' Motherfuckers. TuT

Where's Makuta Teridax!? http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs27/f/2.....y_Krekka01.jpg Forget kneeling before all of those other super villains! Kneel before Makuta Teridax, The true god of evil! http://th02.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE.....er-d69o5fp.jpg In the end, all those who trust him were left for dead and the only Makuta to survive his rain of terror was Makuta Miserix! Makuta Icarax and Makuta Tridax/ Killed by The Order of Mata Nui, Makuta Krika/ Murdered by his sister Makuta Gorast, Makuta Mutran/ killed by curiosity, Makuta Bitle/ Destroyed by his own mask power, apparently it's not a good thing to summon an army of past versions of your own self into battle, The rest of them died in Karda Nuis deadly energy storms after the Toa brought the mask of life to the codrex to awaken Matoran Universe! In the end he got everything that he wanted and was still not satisfied!? He fought his brother mata Nui and this happened http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2.....aster_Cehk.jpg !
