This is a sketch of Auric's armband, designed by me and drawn by artist Ashe Skyler, who does the Just Another Day webcomic: http://jad.raven-wing.net/

It is a winged snake (like a Coutal from D&D). It is intended to look like a mix of Egyptian and Fantasy, but not be easily identifiable to a particular culture or time period.

Note that for most of the armband the snake body has its belly towards the wearer's arm but the snake body twists just behind the wing to present a side view of the head and wing.
