This pic would take place during training camp. Pep Patty gives Charlie some last minute tips/advice before he goes out and competes for a spot.

A situation like this between Patty and Charlie would serve as good character development, I feel.

I've been watching these recent submissions...
I really hope you don't see these two as a couple. :/
Spectacular art, in any case.

Charles Schulz portrayed Peppermint Patty as having a crush on "Chuck" almost from her inception. Blame the strips' creator if you sense a romantic vibe. ;)

Like Wolfieboy said, blaim the Creator because Charles is really after the Red Hair Girl. Far as I know, she doesn't have a name whatsoever besides Red Hair Girl. I'm scratching my head as to why he did this.

Maybe something from his past that hurt him so much that it made it stick with him even when he was a cartoonist. *shrugs* Don't know, don't ask me. I can't talk to the dead.

Love and peace.

He said that he courted a red-haired girl who later married somebody else. It seemed natural to give Charlie Brown a similar situation. Heck, the strip is -filled- with crush-angst.

The Red Haired Girl probably represents the dream girl in that case. The ideal that we want to reach for but may not make it. While Peppermint Patty is probably the more realistic (and probably the better depending on your perspective) choice. But that's just me.

That would be awesome character developement, I love the look of concetration on Charlie's face as well as Patty's serious glance to what could be an opposing team or the baseball field in general

Spectacular work, though I'm a tad disappointed Pep didn't end up with Marcie. It's a brave new world, ain't it?...;>

Marcie had a major crush on Charlie Brown, even going so far as saying that she wants to marry him some day.

Just sayin'. :)

c'mon people the characters were great friends as kids let's not defile them with sex preference themes that would destroy the purity of the peanuts gang thats just wrong

I really enjoyed your Peanuts series that you have here. Don't really bother looking at the ones they have in the paper anymore because they are all reruns. If they were something like this though, I would become a born again fan! Keep up the good work, and perhaps we cold see some new ones in the future?
