golddrake
basically this depicts him and some other dragon in a game of inflation poker, where with the use of a remote control, they can place bets in the form of PSI, where the loser ends up taking the pressure of his own bet and his opponents.
Had to do a bit of homework for this one because I didn't quite know what exactly was a bad hand in poker. as you can see, Golddrake has an ace of diamonds, a 1 club, a jack, and a 2 hearts.
Speaking of, an artistic choice i took for this piece was giving Golddrake a glossy and reflective underbelly, after all, gold is shiny and reflective, and those qualities are what makes it clear that the material is gold and not big chunks of butter or something. This also allowed me to add to the setting by showing that they aren't the only participants in this game.
...as I constantly look at this, I feel as to that given how rounded out they have gotten, if somebody wanted to be a complete dick than they could probably give one of these guys a push and cause them to roll away without much effort.

Damn, I like this idea...I don't even play cards, but I like this idea, haha. You really did a fine job with the shading though, and I'm glad you said the belly is reflective. At first I thought it was going see-through, but I can definitely see the reflective nature better now that I know what I'm looking for. I think that alone wins you some points for even taking something like that on.

The background has some underappreciated composition.
The two dragons are of some pleasant shapes while not being anatomy-deprived.
The best part is the shiny ventralss. Not only did you combine two of my favourite elements (ventral scales and shine), but you have implemented them to an effective use (reflecting more of the scenery) while acting appropiately to the original character: a golden dragon!
