that's my force mostly, Space Marines do it more than Orks. The Space Marines if wounded in battle have their bodies put in a sarcophagous which is a life support system, which in turn is plugged into a Dreadnought, a bipedal war-,machine. These warriors are sometimes thousands of years old.
Orks tend to use crude cybernetics to replace their limbs, my Nobs (second in command to the Warboss) are all cyborks, they have lots of cybernetics to make em tougher and usually cause bits are often blown off them.
You ever want to learn more of these creatures or anything in the warhammer univiverse catch me on an IM sometime and I'd love to chat with you bout it.

I think I very well might take you up on that offer.
Anything with this much violence and flavor needs to be looked into further.

well there's lots of books and wikis and things to read about it. The hobby's been in the making since 1981 I think. I'm a big fan of a lot of the literature on the systems, it's sometimes fun and a little silly (imagine giant armoured space viking quaffing mead and throwing whole tables at people) and sometimes dramatic and heart touching.
