Momma's Mashed Potatoes!
Day 11 of the 30 day art challnge!
Today's theme was "favorite food". And since my favorite food is my Momma's Mashed Potatoes, how boring would it be to just draw a pile of delicious, wonderful mush? So instead here's a quick, simply recipe.
Canned milk is the secret, and real butter. They special ingredient is love <3

This is mostly how I make dirty mashed taters, cept I wash and leave the skins on (lotsa nutrition there) and I use 2% milk. :9
Now, one memorable Thanksgiving, I made cardiac infarction mashed potatoes (peeled) with TWO sticks of butter and heavy cream. MAN, were they GOOOOD!

Mmm, maybe it has both more sugar and more fat. Whole milk tastes a lot different than 1% or skim (i.e. milk-flavored water). I suppose I'll have to look up the ingredients and see why.
And also, I don't really care if it's "worse" for me. X3 I wasn't asking about that really. There's a lot of hearsay around our food and diets anyway, with some saying one thing, others saying another, and the FDA trying to insist that its standards are the right ones.
Personally, I've become convinced that a diet higher in saturated animal fats, protein, and veggies is a lot healthier, and gives more energy. But to each their own. I say trust your body and try to limit your intake of sugar and other simple carbs, and manufactured foods. I try not to drink a lot of pop, and so far it's improved my health vastly. =3 Just don't seem to get sick anymore.
Still want my Cheez-Its though. X3 Yeah, it's an unnatural, processed hybrid of cheese and crackers... but then since when are hybrids a bad thing? =3
