A small dracoraptor investigates a clump of reeds next to a river, hoping to find a small snack to whet his appetite. He's been searching for food for several hours; despite his speed and cunning, he hadn't managed to catch anything so far today, and his stomach was empty.

As the wind changed, he suddenly stiffened, sniffing the air. Everything seemed normal, but a primeval scent had filled the clearing - one that filled him with dread...

Jumping to face behind himself, the dracoraptor let out a fearsome roar that quickly died in his throat. A huge dragon stood before him. Even without wings, this dragon was easily several times his size. From the rumbling coming from this dragon's stomach, he was searching for a meal as well. Too stunned to react quickly enough, the dracoraptor was held in place by a large paw, while a huge, dripping maw opened before him. A large tongue flopped out on top of his own head, and the dracoraptor had the curious (and terrifying) sensation of being taste-tested before a meal.

A short comic for akaikosh, who has been a very good friend to me on my time on here so far. He did toss me several character refs to use in a picture with Epoch (who was given to me by Rae), since I felt he needed to be used more... and so I hope this comic will be a good surprise for him. c:

I regret that this will probably will be among the last few uses of my trusty pencils, which just haven't been performing as well as they used to. I'll miss them, but at least one of their final uses was for several projects!

No death or digestion! Not my thing.
