Changes to the pelvis are in-progress, but here's an idea of what the new topology's mesh looks like. To facilitate the rework, I decimated the pelvis, deleting all but a handful of edges (except at the back, where I was mostly happy with it.) From there, I have been hand-rewiring the edge loops to connect more appropriately. I've been taking care to ensure that each new edgeloop is placed so that the future edgeloops added to give more detailed shape to it, are evenly divided on the model.
I've been fixing all kinds of problems with the pelvis and regularly checking the new shape and wiring against the skeletal rig to ensure it bends properly, just as I did with the mouth rewiring. The shape itself is being carefully control, and I'm sticking to the "3 edge loops to form a curve" paradigm, and then slowly adding more detail as necessary.
Still not too sure about the proportions, though...
