Prior to posting the ready-to-fur blank I wanted to have an example of how one of these bases would look finished.
Design is based off of many species, mainly the wedge-tail eagle, the Tervuren (European shepherd breed), and a ring necked pheasant cock.
Features the following:
~Resin following eyes (sadly these ones have cracks in them but is difficult to spot unless someone is staring up close at them)
~Moving beak with a soft foam tongue
~Over 7 furs used in the face and hood, complete with a hidden zipper for easy in and out access
~Feathers from a ring necked pheasant and Furnace hackles from a chicken
~Drilled nares for extra ventilation
~vein detail on the inside and outside of the ears
I'm not sure what will become of this head at the moment, whether to sell it as is or turn it into a partial/full in the future. All I can say at the moment is I'm incredibly proud of how this turned out. It's my first official avian I have made, something I've been wanting to make for about 5 years.
DISCLAIMER: This suit contains natural materials hand picked from a pheasant skin. This skin is a fly tying grade for fly fishing flies and was harvested legally during hunting season. It went through a cleaning and preservation process to ensure the materials are sanitary and do not harbor any illness or mites. Due to the nature of the material, gentle care and handling is required.

When it said that this guy was partially based off a tervuren I got really excited and looked at the details a bit more to see which was inspired by one. When I took a look at the front view though for a second I saw a glimpse of my terv look right at me with unimpressed eyes. This leads me to belive that this mask is one of your best works as I can see every part of every species mentioned but yet they created thier own species as well that looks natural. I would love to see a full or partial of this guy sometime just to see where you creativity with this combination will go.
