Afternoon at the Red Tavern
Welcome to the Red Tavern, an old pub of rough-hewn quality, owned and operated by the scrappy and somewhat amoral Blood Raven. The usual crowd tends to demonstrate even less stability than the time-worn building they occupy. Once the dust settles, no-one ever recalls how it got started in the first place - perhaps a few ill-placed words, a split ale, a swiped bag of silver - but vicious brawls are far from uncommon. If you came looking for a fight, this afternoon does not disappoint, but if you're knocked cold, don't expect to wake with your coin purse intact.
Group commission featuring a cast of folks that well exceed FA's link limit, so I'll simply list them: Drazii-Na, Wolfy-Lupus, Umbralfox, Chaon, Shimmortal, Dana, Fringe, RenardThatch, Thriceborn, Pyrocatch, Ongaku69, Abraxis, TallestBlue, Rocker_Foxx, Reve, and my Blood Raven.
This piece took 89 recorded hours in total, plus some untracked fiddling. At 16 characters total, that breaks down to approximately 5.5 hours per character, though a great deal was expended on the background. Every last hair and stone was originally painted in Paint Tool SAI, with some finishing manipulation and color adjustment in Photoshop.
