Here, for all intents and purposes, was my very first 'Bloat Cola' gag...
It was back in May, 1996 (about twelve years ago) when I came up with the initial gag for "The Dallas Brawl Update" that spoofed 'Jolt Cola', and started an ongoing trend in the digest-sized 'zine, that has now been carried over into the Internet.
The first victim... er, subject... to try the bobcat's new soft drink was a rather chunky rat space trucker - created by Lyn, known here in "FA" as Furet.
And the rest, as they say, is history!

Initially, I'd only made this product in cola flavor, but now I'm considering redesigning the soda to come in a variety of flavors, including 'Cherry Bloat', 'Grape Bloat', 'Root Beer Bloat' and even 'Banana Bloat'. How I'll come up with a 'furry inflation' gag revolving around these newest tastes will be a whole other 'can of brew'...
