Thanks for the nice comments and thanks to Twist for this awesome digital painting of my 'sona sitting in his wingless form and writing.
It may not be obvious from just looking at the finished painting but this started as a simple sketch of Auric writing at a table. Twist and I both thought the sketch needed more background, then we both thought it would look good in color with more detail and shading, and the rest is now history. A lot of thought went into this, especially the background, and I'm really happy with how it all turned out.
