This is a pencil drawing of my 'sona Auric's armband, designed by me and drawn by artist Ashe Skyler ( http://art.raven-wing.net ) who does the Just Another Day webcomic: http://jad.raven-wing.net/

It is a feather winged snake (like a Coutal from D&D) or dragon (like a Coatl from Flight Rising). It is intended to look like a mix of Egyptian and Fantasy, but not be easily identifiable to a particular culture or time period.

Note that for most of the armband the snake body has its belly towards the wearer's arm but the snake body twists just behind the wing to present a side view of the head and wing.

Also note, in the initial posting of this drawing the spiral slope was backwards in the middle view (the front view of the armband as worn), it is shown correctly over here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12217197/ and I edited this file a bit to try to show the spiral more correctly.
