Not so much a sexy pose. Less a federal crime, more like a misdemeanor. Posing with intent to sexualize :P
But, the pose was little more than an attempt to hide or obscure the less successful aspects of the mockup, namely the face and front torso. Blythe (on the left, if you're not sure) is the female model and the 3rd of 3 in the current major focus. Rederick is presented on the side, in the same laughable pose, to help illustrate the (currently minor) differences.
The mockup was constructed by importing the basic, low-poly Rederick mesh into ZBrush and fooling around with it, before exporting it back (in returned to low-poly form) and binding it as I normally would. The result is at least useful as an exploration of shape, which I've done a couple times while developing Rederick and even on the old Gravitas model.
It got me thinking about what kind of shape differences there should be between the male and female. The butt should be rounder and more pronounced, a greater curve in the back, and wider hips were a few of the thoughts. Fluffier tail was another. I rather like her butt :3
This ZBrush method is a bit crude; it causes a surprising loss of volume and definition even in areas I didn't touch with a brush. I have some ideas to keep that from happening, but I'll save toying with it for when I finally get around to working on her in earnest.
Shader is also temporary, an even a bit more violet than I want. I haven't decided on a color scheme precisely, but I know I want it to be predominantly blue of some shade.
