Do you mean shaded, modeled or highlighted? I've seldom seen a ref sheet without shadows.

FA's file size and dimension limitations are really annoying. I would have attached the flats instead of a color chart but there are massive space restrictions afoot here. I'll edit the post to add a link to them later.

Yeah, it seems like a rather arbitrary limitation, if not really small.
I'd love to see them when you upload it! I would save it to my computer for future use, too!

I just hate to see anything that alters the color on the character in the ref (shading, highlights, etc.). Because I know that someone will eventually pull the color off the character and not the color swatch along the top. And if it's a little darker or lighter than the actual color of the character due to shading, then it messes up the whole drawing.

I suppose it's just me being paranoid. But it's always bugged me a little!

Well, sounds like that artist needs to learn to pay attention to color swatches :p

But he actually did save a flats version. I just love this better :p

You know how some artists might accidentally grab the wrong color. No harm in mistakes sometimes :P
(And yeah, I know of a couple that needs to grab the right color sometimes lol)
