This is a detailed pencil drawing by Ashe Skyler showing my golden jackal 'sona Auric in his wingless form with his short summer mane, apparently posing for a photo or portrait in front of a well recognized natural landmark in Utah (USA). Alternatively titled "Auric by the Delicate Arch". I think such a detailed background for a black and white drawing makes it look like an old photograph.

This graphite illustration was inspired by the following quick sketch: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16059678/ Arizona Auric. The idea for the graphite drawing was to have some fun with the background and make a plain portrait drawing of Auric look sort of like a vacation/tourist photo. We wanted an iconic desert/canyon background and Ashe Skyler had been to Arches so she used a photo of the Delicate Arch that she took herself as the basis for the background.
