Going thru my PPTBA file ("People Pretending to be Animals") & coming across a whole buncha stuff I'd totally forgotten about, like this version of me. This is Sunbow Productions where we made The Great Space Coaster (I was part of that) & churned out all those GI Joe, Transformer and G1 Pony shows (I didn't get to work on those)

Yep - That's what got me the job on Space Coaster.
I was trying to show my enthusiasm to GI Joe Bacal, one of the partners at the production company/ad agency to get hired, and for whatever reason I started telling him I really dug anime because of the dynamic posing making up for limited animation etc. That's when he said "we did the "Star Blazers" series" or words to that effect...A few weeks later I was working for Sunbow Productions.
My first job: screening short cartoons available to be licensed and used in the "Space Coaster" episodes. That's right... I got paid to watch cartoons.
