Where as in the tales, Daring Do approaches her temples head-on, heroically battles her way through traps, trouble and trebulation to finally reach her prize, not everypony is going to take that risk - especially when they don't have wings to avoid floor pits. Skyfall, takes a more practical approach, utilising the infrastructure required to - for example - fill a spike-trapped-closing-wall-room with quicksand in a few swift minutes. Admittedly, this means slogging through pipes and crawl-spaces half-filled with glutinous sludge, but at least it's safer this way?
