The Kimet: part 2 [F5]
Part 1: Who Are They?
EDIT: I forgot that FA has that totally useless auto resize lmao. Fix'd that.
It took me a while, but I have finally completed part 2 of the Kimet species sheet!! This page deals with their life cycle and sexual dimorphism!
Thanks again to

More kimet! I'm loving these pages you're doing, so complete and full of info
I'm fascinated by the idea of Viziers. The "refuse to die" thing is interesting, and even if it's just a strange quirk I wonder if there's a mental component as well... sort of "My destiny awaits" or something XD I mean, when you reach such ages you literally become a living archive of your people's history, so you're bound to a duty towards them. It's funny to think about it as having a mystical component too.
And we finally understand who your guy with spectacles is!
Looking at the dimorphism, is colour the only sign or there are definite feather shapes for males or females too?

I'm glad you're enjoying these!! :D And you're exactly right about the Visiers! Most cultures do hold them up to that standard, as well. Whether they like it or not, being a sump of information; a living history book--is their moral obligation! To be fair...at such an age, it's not like there are many other things they'd rather be doing...
And indeed, color really is the only sign--besides hearing it from their own mouth. It's not uncommon for a Kimet to even be unsure of their own sex until they hit 'puberty' and hormones make it obvious to them.
As such, gender doesn't play much of a role in society outside of breeding. It's also not uncommon to have Kimet of the same sex form a mate bond with one another. It's nothing special, it just happens. Whether or not a Kimet is capable of laying eggs is really no one's business by their own--and the society operates as such :> No gendered clothing, occupations, etc exist. They wouldn't even have gendered bathrooms of change rooms, etc--because no gender has anything that the other gender hasn't already seen lmao!

Again I am totally enamored by the background details for your species! Absolutely fascinating! -^_^- Although, I have to admit, as soon as I read about the Viziers, the first thought that came to my mind was "Oh good! They're led by a bunch of crotchety old birbs who refuse to die by sheer crotchetiness" LOL
