Here's my 'sona Auric as a full griffin (rather than his normal canine-headed 'simuran' form), drawn by the very talented Chickenzaur who does a very nice job with canine griffons and poses that convey a sense of motion. Auric is a jackal/buzzard gryphon - that's a golden jackal (or African golden wolf) and long-legged buzzard combination, not a jackal buzzard which is a different sort of bird that is related to the long-legged buzzard (and the red-tailed hawk). For everyone in the USA, a long-legged buzzard is a type of hawk from Europe and Asia, not a vulture.
