Personal background: From a young age William was raised by his grandfather who would tell him stories of World War 2 and how his fellow soldiers were like brothers to him, and gave William a sense that the military was the place he wanted to be at. The moment that he reached the age of Eighteen William signed up to be in the Army and went through basic training like everybody else. Soon after he finished he was sent to a eight man team in Bravo company that was rather different from the rest of the army in William's eyes, they welcomed William into their group but he didn't feel like he was fitting in right. Then one day after a couple of weeks of joining his team William received a message saying that his grandfather had passed away suddenly leaving himself feeling completely alone with no other known family left, sitting on his bed with his sidearm in his hand William considered suicide until his team's Captain had knocked on his door to make sure he was alright and dragged the fresh from boot camp Private out to spend the rest of the day with the squad, after that day William had formed a strong friendship with his team mates and they gave him the nickname of Ironhide for his thick scales and higher tolerance of pain. A couple of years later Ironhide and his team was out on patrol with a convoy when terrorists attacked killing over half of the convoy, including six of his team and injuring him and the only other survivor of the team. As Ironhide and the rest of the survivors were recovering word began to spread throughout the military on how a CIA agent had leaked the information of the convoy to the terrorists. Feeling betrayed by the Government Ironhide chose to leave the Army once his tour was finished and decided to become a mercenary, for a few years he would take jobs that helper the innocent people involved in conflicts until he met a young Arachne who was orphaned by one such conflict, he quickly adopted her and took a job as a bodyguard for a prince of a small country named Akiim in order to give Arachne a safe place to grow up and to make sure both her and Akiim were safe. Once Akiim was old enough to defend himself Ironhide decided to go back to taking jobs as a Mercenary but had joined Talise Inc's Private Military branch as she had offered him the job years ago. Now Ironhide leads his own team of mercenaries and makes sure that each and every single one of them are well taken care of as though they were family too. He still keeps in contact with his only surviving team mate from his Army days to make sure he's doing alright, even if he had chosen to stay in the Army.
