Oh boy I've never done a Draw to Adopt before. I'm probably going to forget a lot of details and rules, but if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask!
Rules:
• Draw one of the pictured designs. Yeah that's pretty much it.
• Submit your entry (via comment below) before March 8th - two weeks from now. (Has been extended one day due to multiple requests)
• There is no limit on the number of entries you can submit.
• Must link back to the contest when you submit your entry.
Submission Info:
• Both Digital and Traditional works may be submitted. And if you really truly feel like you absolutely can't draw anything, I will also gladly accept written pieces. That being said...
• This contest is NOT solely based on artistic skill. I'm more curious to see how others would interpret the character. Is she a princess? A thief? An anime school girl? A pile of frogs in a Stareater suit? Go wild.
• Still, if you're like me and just prefer to draw dragon ladies floating in space, that's perfectly fine as well. :)
• The traits are FEMALE only, but you're welcome to draw this Stareater as herm or trans.
• Hairstyle/name/body shape/etc may be altered. Designs, colours, and patterns can be simplified or given minimal tweaks.
Contestant Info:
• TO THOSE WHO ENTER, be aware that the winner may be allowed to use your art
• TO THE WINNER, you may only use the art of the color you pick. So if you choose Lulu, you may not use the art of the other three.
• These are NOT individual prizes for 4 winners. It is a choice of palette and design for a single winner. The unpicked designs win an all expense paid vacation into the trash.

I don't usually offer anything except common and uncommon, but since it's a special occasion...
Common Claw shape: Standard
Common Gem cut: Diamond
Rare Tail shape: Long Coattails
Rare Elbow tuft: Winged (HMM I probably should have made this one more obvious. Will fix it on the final version.)

UPDATE: The winners have been chosen and noted. I'll post a journal later with the results and some honorable mentions (because hot damn were there ever some gorgeous pieces) but until then, I'll just post the results here.

Thank you all for participating. The turnout was absolutely phenomenal. I never expected so much interest. It was incredibly difficult to chose the winners, and with that, I have learned my lesson: more prizes next time.

Haven't drawn for real in a very long time. But this character speaks to me so I gave it a shot. My scanner killed a lot of the detail but I worked really hard ; u ;

ah ok then, I usually like to keep a small reference in the same window, hence why I side by side on a single page. its convenient for me so I have the body shape, colors, and size to reference from. juuuuuuust gotta make some tweaks to the pic and I'll post it here :3 though forgive the hands and feet >.< that seems to be my weakest in my style.
Yes! It has nothing to do with the artwork, and all to do with whats been done.
So if for example... you just do a floating head in space, you're completely allowed to do that! But someone who, lets say... dresses them up in some role, puts them in a scene where they're doing something, or makes a funny little comic- well, they may have a better chance of winning.

I hope you do something with the remaining 3 designs, you did really nice work on them... maybe remove the uncommon/rare traits for the rest and, I dunno, sell 'em?
That way the winner still gets something special, and the rest of the designs net you some cash for the work you put in.

I work a lot so I don't have a whole lot of time to myself. XD I just finished it today because I only worked one shift instead of double shifts. I'd been working on it little by little the past week. For some reason I saw 'March 8th' and thought it due today not yesterday. Oh well.

As for the other entries for Eris, I want to be respectful! I won't use or claim other user's art unless I'm told I'm able to by the creators. I know these entries were made in hopes of winning and not exclusively for the winners so I'll gladly use only what I've been permitted to. Even if that's none at all! I'll reiterate this on the announcement journal to alleviate any art anxiety from other former contestants.
Congrats to the other winner and thank you to my other contestants. I may not have made myself known, but I looked at all other entries and they were a joy to see! Great work, everyone~
