For sketchbet we had to art with materials not meant for it, so I tried coffee + tea painting! It was absurdly hard to get it to layer but is easily the best smelling thing I've ever painted. Not sure it's very successful as is, but I think with the application of some actual paint and ink over top, will make a good base. When I have more time I'll experiment with it, maybe make a couple coffee-base paintings for the Anthrocon art show this year!

You could do a series of images, and call it, 'My Life in Coffee' or something. I'm familiar with using coffee and tea to stain paper to give it an 'old' look, but using it to paint... that's a new ballgame. I'd love to see more of using unusual materials to create artwork. First thing that came to mind was lemon juice or milk to make an invisible image to heat up.

Are you trying to 'one-up' Mr. Wonka on his lickable wall paper by creating drinkable artwork? *giggles*
Very creative artistry here, and quite a nice picture even before you consider the difficulty of the media used.
Can't wait to see where these experiments ultimately take you! Bravo!!
