Aelwyn is quite the accomplished spellcaster, although this is a fact that he has shared with only a scant number of people as magic is something that cannot be taught or learned by everyone; only by those who already have the potential inside them or acquire that potential through "other" means and even then there is no guarantee that you will "awaken" the ability. There is always the possibility that it will simply lie dormant within you.
The beautiful maned wolf is well–versed in a variety of different kinds of magic–a testament to his immense dedication over many years–but he has an affinity towards water, ice, and wind, being much more efficient with these three elements than anything else. He is also one of the rare individuals that can wield more than one element at once; an exercise in immense coordination and control.
Here he is demonstrating only a fraction of his incredible power!

Well, in terms of physical attributes, yes. He doesn't really transform or anything like that. Don't be fooled though. That slender and lithe body of his belies some unbelievable physical strength, many times stronger than any human, and he can use his magic to increase his strength even more, although doing so would drain his reserves pretty quickly and he would not be able to use his magic to do anything else concurrently.
In terms of his magical abilities, he has gone far beyond what any of his race were able to achieve in their lifetime (although the fact that they were all wiped out certainly contributed to that a great deal). Apart from being able to control many different elements (ice, water, earth, fire, etc, although he is not at the same level of expertise with every element) he can also do more specific things such as control the effects of gravity on himself or others, transfiguring matter, and time manipulation.
He is also skilled in alchemy and some of the darker and more forbidden aspects of magic. While I won't go into many specifics regarding what that entails right now, I will say that included in that is a unique ability that only he possesses: he has the power to entrance and control others, induce lunacy, or even render them catatonic using only his eyes. His eyes are multi-toned and look the way they do for a reason: you are meant to be drawn to them. He does not use these unique powers, though, without good reason.

I'm glad to hear that. It's stuff I've had in my head for the longest time. I'm all too happy to share it with someone and getting it all written down in the process is a nice bonus too. Really means a lot to me that someone's interested in Aelwyn in other ways besides the obvious (though I'm not trying to vilify those who are).
