This is a sword of Damocles moment. The thing in the pond seems to be digging up repressed memories. Normally memories are represses for a reason. It's hard to just enjoy a happy section with dread building like chipotle-fuelled heartburn in your chest.

But anything that you've said doesn't change my statement, even a tiny bit.
Aside from the crowd that keeps boiling up their expectations about the "upcomming horrors" that Fer will unleash on her readers, I preffer to just watch and enjoy every page given. Because digging yourself in too much suspense, may lead to disapointment when the right moment will arrive.

Very beautiful landscape Fer. As much you downplay it, I think you did a really good job at it and this was really touching to see that wonderful smile on Fer, surely we will see that again soon.
