He just said he didn't make a bet to have sex with her.
Now, either he's lying or she's jumping to conclusions.
As it stands, we still don't know what the bet was or if it even relates to her, we don't know anything about the arrangement Baren had with Liz.
For all we know, Piris could just be milking an awkward situation to rile her up because he has a tactless sense of humor and likes seeing Baren suffer.
But what I suspect... is that we're about to be booted out of memory land because she is done remembering this.
Hopefully when she gets out she'll explain what was going on, otherwise we're going to have to wait to find out.
Who knows. Maybe they made up after this, had a decent life together for while, maybe even had kids (has anybody ever asked? Fen's essentially in her 40's, it's not out of the question. Maybe the first scene we see her in is actually her saying goodbye to a daughter or something). We don't know.

He is either seven kinds of dead or adding scars to his kinda hot bod...or he suffers a free neutering..

everyone's favorite game where your punishment is our entertainment!
Today's contestant is a studly wolf who banged our main heroin on a bet and was caught. Lars Spin the wheel please!

I have no idea what you mean, lol. I'm not a Warcraft player (I've only played the tabletop version). Since we never finished the campaign, and were only with the Forsaken for a brief time, there's not a lot I remember about them.
There's also the possibility that LARS is actually based on Baren, or is whatever is left of him after this particular event. Like literally a brain in a box or something. Would be hardly surprising given how screwed up it's gotten so far, lol.

I get the feeling that we're about to get ejected from this little past-reliving due to Fen in the current time getting an emotional overload.
It does seem like Baren may have legitimately started liking Fen which is nice but it looks like he did not handle the situation well. Though doing so in the moment is never easy. Something like "I actually ended up really enjoying spending time with you. I don't care who knows that, they can mock me all they want for it." But it always seems much easier to the outside observer.
Smacking Piris over the head rather than just meekly stating "you suck" may have also helped.
All too late now, though. This all already happened. I feel awful for Fen. She did not have a smooth life previous to arriving at the monastery.

This for some reason reminds me of CyberMedia First Aid 97, which would always bring up error messages like "First Aid has caught a crash! You would normally have lost your work!", At which point it then fails to recover your work (usually by crashing itself), so you lose it anyway. So in this case, it's a case of "Good news! We saved your body! (But you lost an entire millennium worth of memory)!"
I think there'll be some kind of magical explosion?
That, or the "stop it" is her forcing herself out of the rather traumatic memories.
Anyway, to commemorate that heart crushingly sad look in the second panel:

I don't trust Piris... it just doesn't add up, Baren had multiple opportunities to be an ass and take advantage of Fen, instead he acted like a perfect gentlemen the entire time.
My theory is, either the bet is real and Baren realized soon into it that he actually legitimately does like Fen, or Baren and Piris were having... words... and Piris is causing a fight to get away.

We still don't know what the bet is. That detail hasn't been revealed. What we do know is Fen straight up asked if it was a bet to have sex with her and he said no.
And you're right, he was very much the gentleman... in his own getting drunk and high kind of way. But let us not forget that she's the one who offered to have sex. He didn't even suggest or hint at it. She asked him to stay the night.

Hmmm so many people saying rage would be the reaction, but honestly, I think the first reaction is a complete collapse and despair.
Being used, abused even, especially after losing someone close? Feeling worthless? Betrayed? Alone?
Maybe later comes rage, pretty justified, even if he regrets his actions, but meh, not first thing.
Anyway, poor Fen

She is more that type, yes.
Just look back at these moments
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/12481525/ Fen realizes she may have gone too far.
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/17594764/ Fen's subconscious is holding on to that baggage despite having been forgiven.
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/17610834/ Working off her subconscious again, we hear "Betraying the only person who ever loved you. Killing your friends. Stealing a young lady's innocence."
Of those accusations, we've only seen one out of three.

Fen b leik: "First I'm going to kill you for the bet, then I'm going to superkill him for telling me, then I'm going to bring both of you back as zombies so I can kill you both harder, and after that we're never speaking again!"
but I'm actually detecting some remorse from bucket, so I guess making his death painless would be in order.
the fox gets the wood chipper though.

Nearly everybody in the comments section is jumping to conclusions. This whole time they said how much they want to like Baren, but the instant a bet is mentioned, suddenly they turn their backs on him.
"We've found a witch, may we burn her?" - villager from Monty Python and the Holy Grail
AGH!
I'm gonna be the first guy to say the events leading up to the actual sex were entirely dodgy, but we still don't know what the bet was.
It's worth mentioning that Fen invited him in. Fen invited him to stay. Fen asked him if he was sure he wanted to do it. When it came to sex, Fen was running the show. She wasn't in any kind of capacity to be making those decisions, but never the less he didn't force himself on her at any point. He even went full submissive.
This was not Baren being a total thirsty jerk the whole time. In the bar he even pulled her dress back over her butt. It's a subtle gesture but it could mean he cared about her a little bit.
I'm not saying he's a great guy. I don't know who he is. None of us do. He hasn't said much this whole time. But am I, the guy who said that if this had happened in our world he would technically be a rapist; going to be one of the few people defending him?
And now we may not even find out what happen because Fen is probably pulling herself out of the memory.
You know what? She climbed that tower because she was feeling pretty bad about things. She just got her new best friend pregnant... and then almost killed her. Now she's being reminded of her mother's death and whatever this whole thing is.
Feretta, you build a good story with plenty of suspense. I could kiss you. But GAH! So frustrating.
And I'm just going to keep coming back for more.

Have to wonder if one of the reasons they love her so much is because they understand the feelings she's going through.
How well received a character is, generally has something to do with how relatable they are.
If a reader can say "I totally understand that" then they're more likely to grow an attachment to the story. It's like a friend or even an extension of themselves.
