Decided to try out the old colored lines style again. It looks nice, but kinda makes it tedious to shade.

Whoa, from the thumbnail I had a double take - this looks almost like an official piece of art... in style, anyway, obviously. I'd say the colored line experiment was a success. Super good job, poor Derpy.

Personally, I think that the colored lines aren't half bad for looks, especially with your style.
Though I wouldn't say go and switch to it if it's more of a challenge to shade with them. So you do you. Both are appealing to the eyes.

Something about this looks... softer. I don't like it!
It's probably really good to everyone else, but your other art just looks- kinkier, somehow.
Like the diapers look crinklier and the ponies look-- ponier.
