Yes, but from my plundering I have seen that it was popularized as jewlry in Scotland. =o (I actually bought mine at a Scottish store). There is also other information that shows that the celtic cross is used here and about in Scotland as well, and that it is not strictly limited to Ireland. It is actually seen in many countries, including a man made rock formation in a cave located in the French Pyrenesse, which dates 10,000 BC.
