So worst case scenario, Vitrin entity goes "You fools! I actually needed an antimatter payload as a catalyst to consume your universe in an instant!"

Best case scenario at this point? The antimatter bomb did exactly as intended but Alfred did not account the possibility of the explosion expanding to all of the Vitrin's dimensional entrances and did not reinforce the containment unit (if shielding against antimatter is doable at all). Given Vitrin's continued existence acknowledged in the beginning of this chapter, I can only hope that the bomb at least rendered Vitrin inert/diminished over the following eons, but now it's starting to recover.
