I recently discovered my personality type after trying for so long to find out who I am... I've felt alien to everyone I've met in real life lately and I couldn't pinpoint why, but now I know!
Here is some information on it.

i've been taking personality tests for years, since i was 12, and I am almost 19 now, and I never found anything that matched who i was perfectly. Recently, I've had some self-realization but I couldn't figure out why I was so different from everyone else. I took a personality test recently, and this came up as my answer, and I got curious and I read everything about this personality type, and for the first time in 7 years there is something that explains me through and through, and i guess that's how I know!
and thank you... I thought i'd draw something for me to explain me. :)

Aye, I know what'cher gettin at mang. As an INTJ, myself (though I can be quite emotional, so I dunno... maybe 'part' INFJ? idk) I probably have a similar personality. ><; Before I could get pretty easily depressed, and I have indeed ideolized suicide many a time during my more depressive moment (NOT SAYIN you have too, js). But now it's like... eh, fuckit. Life's gonna roll on one way or another, no use prolonging misery. And shit. Haha.
My philosophical waxing aside, this pic's amazin :]] I love the colours, the general tone of the pic... all that haha <33 ^^

That explanation is very interesting, but I don't know how much I'd believe that only 2% of the population is like that. I know that spoke true to myself significantly, and I would anticipate others to feel the same way. I really don't think it's a rare trait at all, I think most people are like that tbh.
Either way, I'm glad you found some uplift.
Either way, I'm glad you found some uplift.
I'm not really familiar with the terminology. It just seems like one of those vague lists of details that classify you as something, but those traits can apply to almost anyone given their perception of themselves. Kind of like those other personality quizzes. It just seems like there's something missing from all of this to give it a little more legitimacy.
Where are these terms from? Where did they originate from?

They originated from Jung, your answers are here: http://www.infj.org/public/intrombti.html and you could also google the terms. :)

It is the psychological test that is the long running favorite of psychologists and the workforce (at least in the united states). I know I took the professional (and hella expensive) test it as part as my internship training. They use it to place people into teams that work well together. It has a few fallacies as a scientific quantification of a human personality, but it does a fairly decent job of getting a sketch of who someone is so clashes don't happen.

If you think about it, that's 1 in 50 people, and that's pretty believeable, IMO. You might know a lot of people like that because you hang out with them, but when you look at the whole picture and everyone in the world, it seems to make a little more sense. There are also 14 or so, or more, personality types. Those can take up 6%, 10%, etc. Hah, but these are my opinions and yours are yours. :)
Thanks! <3 i just needed to know I belonged here and I wasn't from somewhere else, hypothetically speaking!

It's not that I don't agree with you, it's that I'm not terribly fond of a theory calling out all my traits and classifying me into a group. I don't feel that this is as cookie cutter as it seems to be, there's never this clear of an answer for everybody... especially when they're trying to clump those people into one category.
It depends on what you believe. Before all this personality type stuff, I was into aura colors. I don't know, I was just one of those people who concluded with their own answers no matter how many were thrown at me.
nd I can understand where you're coming from, but I can't really explain it. I can only explain myself!
nd I can understand where you're coming from, but I can't really explain it. I can only explain myself!
This may seem a little odd to ask, but would you ever suspect the search for "belonging" within these groups is something that draws you to them? I found this trait in myself, and this is what raises a suspicion about these personality tests. I mean, we've always known who we are and what we do, but what makes it feel so good to know there are others out there who are the same? How far will we go to see this connection, even if it may not be as strong as it seems to us? ... and how easy would it be for someone to take advantage of that?
I always feel a little on edge about things like this, forgive me if I seemed a little standoff-ish. I just feel that the moment you're comfortable in a group (or with a label) it leaves you vulnerable for someone to use it, or to use you. It's one of those "been there, done that, and never want to go back" scenarios for me.
Anyways wth, how did this end up so long. Sorry >.>

I personally believe the only way you can understand others is to understand yourself. You are SOMETHING, no matter how much you want to fight it. In fact, if you always want to be different, you are labelled as a non-conformist. If you have an accent, you belong to a culture. If you dress a certain way, you fall under a certain category.
There is no escaping labels.
Labels are vulnerabilities, but they are also a gate for people who are similar to you to meet.
I can't really accurately answer any of your questions, we all have things that turn our gears. And don't worry! You're entitled to your opinion so don't feel like you've done anything wrong!

Labels may be existing and predefined, but they all have various interpretations given who is interpreting them. I know that I have a whole bunch of various traits that compile Who I Am, but they aren't all uniform with others who are like minded. We all have different quirks and traits, which makes generalizations a little bit difficult when getting into the nitty gritty.
I guess I like to believe that everyone is unique as much as they are similar. I find labels make it really hard to find a middle ground between the two.

This is soo gorgeous :'D It really strikes a chord with me because I recently went to a fur meet for the first time in my life and it was really rainy and cold, but it was awesome to see so many awesome people that I might become good friends with in the future ^^ This picture reminds me of how happy I felt despite the rainy and cold weather that day.
Great piece as usual Falvie
And congrats on the personality type discovery. I've taken personality tests over the years too but I can never find any that really tell me who I am, like you said, never one that completely fits my personality. So congrats once again ^^

it is incredibly uncanny how accurate these personality descriptions are. Everyone in my apartment/friends of roommates took this test a while ago, and it was funny how direct and spot-on the analysis was for each individual. I think INFJ is just an incredibly common bulk of internet-goers xP I myself am an ESTJ, however the desire to "ALWAYS RESPECT THE LAW AND DRESS CLASSY" traits of the ESTJ does not necessarily fit me, yet everything else...felt like my soul was being read o.o
and for something actually pertaining to the submission, jeez this is such a nice piece of art :3 it actually, genuinely, made me happy and I'm still smiling ^^;

Such a wonderful picture. It really expresses how you feel free or at least, one with yourself.
I'd have to say, it's glad to hear that you finally found yourself in the big world.
Since I've seen some of the ups and downs over the years. Hope you have a bright future ahead of you ^^

I love this picture. It encapsulates everything I adore about your art.
As for the subject at hand... if that list is correct I am INFJ to a fault. Just imagine everything on that list being so exaggerated that it negatively impacts my daily life. Hard to communicate with? Selective about the people I get close to to the point of isolation despite the fact that I have an absolute desire to communicate? Breaking things down into abstract and convoluted ways, simplicity often bringing on a panic? Being somewhat empathetic but never acting on these inclinations when presenting myself in fear of being read myself, a fear that manifests itself in several ways in which I hide elements of my personality? Never being satisfied and reinventing myself so often that I stand for nothing at all? The ability to extrapolate hidden meaning in just about anything to the point of paranoia? STUBBORN? Yep... fucking sucks. If any of this is true the only positive thing it has brought to be was allowing me to become an effective graphic designer (when I was in practice)... a fact shot to hell by the fact that I chose to freelance illustrate instead [atm] - hah.
Yeah... if any of that list is true I imagine it explains why I like to drink - if only to get out of my own head.

ISFP here! I envy your 'doer' and independent attitude <3 In a good way, of course!

If you're interested.
Most things about it are correct - I seem to defer from the path at a few times, like in the 'doer' aspect... I tend to wait for things to happen, which is a very bad habit to have.

Wow, this piece is beautiful.
OMG U HAVE THE RAREST PERSONALITY TYPE??!
I have no idea what mine is. >.>; I just know I always feel alien to the world as well... but that's because I'm a freak. ;o; LOL
Accepting yourself for who you are is the first step towards happiness ^^
Smile Falvie!!! <3 I really love the fur on this one ;D

Oh oh oh this picture speaks to me something fierce! The shading, harsh light, the rain! Why just earlier today I stood out in the rain and smiled to myself, no lie man ('cept I' m not a green canine)!
I'm a definite INFJ. And besides the links posted I've seen the description on several websites and the terms they use are only 'vague' to a point. It's really insightful! And I've never met another INFJ to begin with, so, HI. And hi to all you who are INFJ's in the comments =P

Amazing! I'm forwarding this to a lot of friends, because a lot of people tend to forget it.
Something i always ask people is, "If you get shot in your arm, are you happy or sad?"
Because i think, since you are alive to tell the story, you might as well smile about it.
Respect and thanks for doing this, it holds a lot of wisdom <3

Ced actually directed me here, and I’m glad he did.
I took that personality test a year or so back, got the same results as you did. INFJ. I didn't think much about it really, I knew I was going to get that before I ever started it. Yet, when I saw your picture and went to the link, I could feel something rumbling. It was telling me to remember this, remember and not to forget.. Then it told me to write a poem, so I did. I thank you for giving me that inspiration, and reminding me of somethings I'd forgotten.

This pic is awesome. I really don't see so intense colors like on your art very often.
Also I think that "Remeber to smile" is a very important sentence. Yeah there are times when you think that your complete life is shit, but you have to remeber that good times will come and that it always can be worse.
Sorry if my English sucks

Wow. She is (with the risk of being cliche and copying everyone else) absolutely beautiful. Just that smile, and the rain (i've always loved the rain) And I can't believe that there's a category, which includes ALMOST all of my traits (i'm not very artistic, and i'm not an activist. I just watch everyone else try, and fail) I'd always linked my personality, with my autism (I have asperger's) but, this has opened up a whole new door for me. Thank you
Cool!
This picture share the essence of yourself,
dont care about what the world think about you,
