Hello guys!
I am NOT taking orders for these for probably another month yet lol, but I wanted to post a preview of a badge I want to offer for Midwest Fur Fest 2011.
Since I've started attending MFF, I've tried to make a badge that was themed to the con's theme that year. It's been pretty easy for me so far. Pirates, Birthday, Jazz, they all had really easy themes for me to work with.
However, this year's theme of "Route 66" really threw me for a loop. The simplest answers that came to mind were all relating to cars. I cannot draw a decent car to save my life. So I really didn't want to draw a bunch of cartoony cars on a badge cause it just wasn't me. XD
Today it hit me. When you go on a long road trip, the one thing I buy is Postcards. Do I use them? Nope. But I LOVE gathering them up when I'm on vacation. So I figured why not have a postcard themed badge! ^^
Basically it's gonna be the character standing in front of a background that has some scenery that you might see while traveling on Route 66, and on the back it will have my contact info(in case anyone asks you where did you get the badge, they have the info right there). I do plan on designing a "stamp" for these badges that will feature my fursona, to go along with my contact info, but that's not finished yet. I also wanted to have a random saying on the back, something along the lines of "So-and-so wishes you were here!" in a handwriting font, as a way of having the character's name on the badge.
Anyway, this is just a preview, and it's most certainly not done yet. But I did want to get these posted up to see if anyone else going to MFF likes this idea and might possibly want one.
Again, I'm not taking commissions for these for at least another month, I'm trying to get my To Do list down a lot farther first. But still wanted to show an idea ^^
