The last 3 lines occurred to me while I was drawing the picture at the jam. (You can see them next to the picture on the above page.) It wasn't until much later I realized my brain, all on its own had had thought up the end of a limerick - now all I had to do was come up with a beginning for it - which I did.

What can I tell u, we gators do not have a firm grasp on the finer subtleties of the English language. (If you don't believe me, check out the gators in the Pearls Before Swine comic strip.) Maybe if I slip your inner grammar cop a few bucks he'll look the other way
