Before anybody says something like "it reminds me of Gears of War" keep in mind that Warhammer 40000 came out as tabletop game far way before GoW; and the last Warhammer 40k videogame shares only the "third person shooter" thing with GoW, anything else is totally different.
Lately i'm been playing a lot of "Warhammer 40000 Space marine". Actually my "love" for the warhammer 40k world comes from very very very long time ago, when i was still a child and i played the first version of the tabletop game: "Starquest", still about the space marines against the chaos forces, but without all the teams and the units of nowdays.
At first i was thinking about my wolfy as a "space wolf" team member, but then i thought that Ota isn't much a Space marine kind, so i changed my mind.
While playing and customizing my own power armor in the game, i was browsing the various Warhammer 40k teams until i found the "Celestial lions" one, name itself gave me the idea of a lion wearing a Space marine power armor, the color may have matched well with a lion fur color too, so i worked on it until i got this result.
Maybe isn't 100% perfect, but i still like the final result, an unusual thing from me to enjoy so much a picture and like so much the final result, it must be some kind of "sign" ^^

Necrons are the scariest thing in the entire setting. Why? Because physics is essentially their bitch. They can travel FTL without the Warp and (and this is important) the Dragon-God can control any machine made in his name.
The Adeptus Mechanicus have been mis-aiming their worship. He's the Omnissiah. And on MARS. If he ever wakes up the entire solar system is F*CKED. (C'TAN can eat solar systems in minutes and half the Eldar gods died to them.)

I think Chaos is the most scariest.....Solar system will be eaten by dragon god but Chaos still will prevail and will dance on ruins of our worlds ...Chaos is the most scariest thing because it cannot be stopped it cannot be defeated it will survive even if all chaos space marines, chaos guardsman will be killed....chaos will wait and will prevail
Sorry to say, as per the way the setting works, sealing off the Warp would render Chaos powerless. And there are Necrons that have the special rule that they are Psychic blanks, making it near impossible to use psychic powers near them - again, hardening the real world against Immaterium intrusion. Part of the point of 40K is that humanity's fight for survival is only winnable because all the myriad enemies of man are infighting too much.
That said, yeah, the Grey Knights are awesome. If there's any bit of the 40K universe apart from the Tau that count as unquestioned Good Guys, it's them. (Tau actually let you surrender. That's almost non existent in the setting. Grey Knights, on the other hand, only fight what's confirmed as unquestionably evil.)

well Grey knights Terminators may teleport in Taus flank and we both know that Good Blue Faces cant fight longer than second in close combat with terminators equiped in nemesis force blades. :)
Screw Tau, Chaos, Orcs, Tyranids, Eldars, Emo Eldars, Rebels and Go-bots..i mean Necrons XD
necrons are not imposible to defeat. they are machines and machines can break down. Btw the origins of necrons are funny dont ya think? They were weak race who wanted to live forever and they made pact with sort of galctic vampires...for the irony they gave them nearly immortal bodies but mind of necrons were disabled and they sense of existance became destroying all life...life they once wanted to keep forever...thats kinda funny. Btw There is nothing sure if Dragon cult is right. I am sure Necrons will shake the Galaxy like never before but i dont think they are the most powerfull race, mindless mechanical bodies are not their strenght...they are their weakness IMHO :) Still they looks cool and i like to pley with them sometimes online in DOW :) I hope they will be soon avaiable in DOW II :)

I've read the Necron codex and the bit about "machines can break down" is in fact wrong. Necrons can reform losslessly from being melted into a puddle. They're scary because they are the ultimate expression of entropy - Necrons can wear you down indefinitely. You can beat them, but they just come back.
The Dragon Cult thing isn't certain, but pretty clear (some senior techpriests definitely DO worship the Dragon, the Dragon IS in Mars and he could probably control anything built on the same planet such is his power.).
And as for the Tau/Grey Knights thing... why are the Grey Knights fighting Tau again? The Tau have essentially no warp presence and are incapable of sorcery. No demons here. Sure the Grey Knights are tougher individually than the Tau and would rip them to shreds, but since there's no gain from fighting the Tau the Grey Knights are unlikely to travel across almost the entire galaxy from the Sol system simply to fight them, especially as the Tau Railguns could kill off a Grey Knight which makes the whole thing a bad idea (no demons killed, one Grey Knight killed? Irrespective of if they'd been positively swimming in Tau blood that's a loss for the Grey Knights, they have a very specific remit.)
I like the Tau just because unlike the Imperium (where technology is gradually getting worse and worse) or the stagnant Eldar or uncaring Orks, the Tau get better. They improve. They want to make the grimdark galaxy of 40K somewhere where it's possible for an entire planetary population to live happy. And really, is there any better aim?

according to Dark Crusade
remember whad did Tau to people from Kronus :P ? they promissed people who cooperated with them better lives...and after that they steriled them, anihilated all population so Kronus could be planet for TAU. Tau do not care for other races exept that one which they can use. In tau's "greater bullshit" there is no place for humans. they only care for Tau kroot and Vespid (but even vespid race have no profits and power, only kroots and tau's races has power and still Tau's are most important). Tau used People from Kronus and after that they stopped beeing usefull...they destroyed them. That how "greater good" works and its how Tau works. Maybe one day Kroots will be useless and they will do the same with them :P. Thats Tau's way to treat other races "we will allow you exist with us as long you will be helpfull"...they are like comunists :P
still i dont consider necrons as "the most scary thing in universe" you may write whole codex here but still i dont think they are ULTIMATE enemy of universe :P
Why imagining fight Tau vs Grey Knights are so hard? Grey knights were sent to fight Chaos and they discovered also Tau Fire warriors so probably they will not just sit on their butts and watch Tau's destroying planet's population. :P And 5th edition of codex of grey knights shows them as quite powerfull army which can easily mach with other races, not demons only :P

Um...yeah tell that to all the innocent people on Armaggedon and other planets they slaughter wholesale to keep the existence of Chaos a secret from the masses. The Eldar and the Space Wolves are probably the only true goody goodies in the universe. Grey Knights are as cruel and hypocritical as they come.
Also Necrons are not unstoppable, there is fluff about Space Marine kill teams having been able to get into thier tombs and destroy the tomb cores that teleport damaged necrons back to thier stasis pods which in effect cuts them off.

true :P But i dont think Eldars are goody goodies...remember that if death of many human innocent colonis would help few eldars to survive..they would do that. And Space wolves? Leman Russ had order from emperor to bring Magnus the Red alive to Terra so Emperor could say to him what he thinks about magic he used to warn him about Trechery of Horus...and what SW did? They Slaughtered all planet and Leman Russ broke Magnus's spin. So Magnus turned away from emperor and gived himself and all Legion of Thousand Sons to Chaos Gods. Indeed Leman Russ helped to create another Legion of Chaos Space marines :P
Pretty sure that's a biased Imperium narrator, especially since it mentions it as a "maybe" - knowing Imperial citizens, it could have just been repeated rebellions or a lack of desire to have kids. And I did say by the standards of the setting. The Tau actually let you surrender, and abide by a fairly recognizable form of the Rules of War - any other army will just kill you where you stand.
My problem with Grey Knights fighting Tau is that they have better things to do - like kill the Daemons which are their entire reason for being. And the Tau are at the other end of the galaxy from the Grey Knights' base, and there are only a thousand Grey Knights at a time - they just wouldn't BOTHER sending the G.K. on a six year trip to the eastern rim just to kill non-daemons. If the Tau were all at least lessor Daemons or the place had been turned into a realspace Warp Storm the size of the Maelstrom, then maybe. If not, there are other things further up their priority list.
Every Grey Knight is a precious resource and a very, very finite resource. They don't get sent that far and taken out of usage for that long to do something that minor.

It is paweusome IF you're a Warhammer 40k fan, the game is a third person shooter and one of the few in which you need to think before to just fire and jump into the battle. Some ones say that this game resembles Gears of War but i find it insulting because it isn't about "brainless shooting with brainless asshole soldiers getting brainlessy mauled by awfully brainless monsters", this game has a plot, has strategy (sometimes just hiding behind a wall is not enough), and the characters are noble and honorable "soldiers".
And yes it does have multiplayer, very hard btw because is "level based" and st the beginning you just get mauled over and over because most of the other players have started as the game came out, so obviousely they have uberskills with uberweapons dealing uberdamage :P... could been better but at least doesen't suck.

As long as the progeniod glands are intact the process can continue, Any apoth from any other chapter could get that and help. Now if those glands are taken, or destroyed it's a different story. Also GW would never completely kill off a chapter for the sake of the people that play that chapter. Except for the Rainbow Warriors but that's another story.
Meh I play Red Corsairs, (and was doing it before they actually got real coverage in a dex') so to me the original Claws may be few, but the chapter recurits in the Corsairs make them part of the best Chaos faction anyway. <--IMHO
As far as the Fists go I'm not sure how much help the Legion of the Damned gave them other then showing up and getting the Orks off the Fist's backs long enough to give them breathing room. Not mention being saved by semi-undead marines trapped in another dimension goes over with the =I= either.

now this is a wonderful picture otaku *smiles and claps* this is something i would honestly like to see more often from ya ;) but then again i'm bias i love my 40K *nods hir head* and interesting choice of Chapter I know the Celesital Lions story... kinda sad but still ;) hope to see more
Awww hush is just nicer than the usual, but i thank you very much :):):)
I've chosen this chapter because it was one of the very few with some kind of animal, i was thinking about the space wolves but i've choosen a lion because it gives a better idea of strenght and power tipical of the space marines :):):)

*shi nods and gently rubs your shoulders* if you wish dear i could look into and get a whole list of space marines with animal motifs ... Tigers Argent for explain but they are solid sliver with a tiger head on the shoulder guard. *giggles* I know many i've been playing since late second edition and only space marines.
This is quite a rarity, the Celestial Lions are pretty rare even amongst the tabletop players.
And I still consider the 'CL' as my favorite chapter but It always bothered me that the right kind of Lion head shaped pauldrons were never available in Space Marine or in any of the Dawn of War games. :<
