Raikuen's ref sheet
Well it’s about time that I finished this.

There are some mistakes I made but I’m not going to fix that anymore, most of this ref sheet is very, very, very old. I’ll need to find some better and faster way to color my drawings before I make any full ref sheet of any other character from this story.
He looks older than he’s supposed to be, I did want him to look tall however.
I made some more expressions like his bored face here but I didn’t color those, I will post them afterwards.
Now with all the info about this image let’s give more info about the story and all of that of this character:
This is Raikuen, the main character of the story that I have in mind for some years now.
Originally he was a human but he chose to become this hybrid fire dragon creature. The reason for this is because these new found dragons and some other creatures that developed around those dragons were able to get biological immortality during their evolution. Raikuen’s transformation is done by some DNA-injection technology only done in some secret governmental organization where Raikuen’s father is part of…
By making the dragon-DNA part of himself he also gets biological immortality that the dragons have. The dragons themselves got the biological immortality by being affected by high doses of some unknown radiation that has only recently been found. The energy seems to be important for any chemical reaction to occur (and also some other things to work) in the universe. Dragons seem to have lived close to one of the sources of this energy not only making it possible for their DNA to develop in a somewhat different way but also being able to use this energy for their own likings. The energy can be used to cause certain chemical reactions on will most likeably to be compared with in stories and myths called “magic”.
Fire dragons became so attached to this magic that they became dependable of this energy. Because Raikuen has fire dragon DNA now, he also has become dependable of this magic energy. This means a couple of things:
- Fire dragons have a very high body temperature and can only live above so, if there body temperature drops too far they will die.
- Unlike any other creature fire dragons can survive what for most other creatures would be lethal. This is because their magic energy can take over some important roles that their body could fail in.
- Fire dragons absorb heat for their own use, they can’t burn and are unable to die by heat.
- Because of their high body temperature fire dragons are unable to become sick from any organism or organic molecules because these die or lose their function once they enter.
Dragons are also rather tough and strong, the structure of their skin, muscles and bones and pretty much everything else is much stronger making them able to lift things that are heavier than themselves and it’s also harder damage them. Dragons can regenerate every part of there body back as long as they are able to keep themselves alive. All dragons can fly and breathe out a certain organic chemical that burns very well. It’s made so that it will only catch fire once outside their body. Fire dragons have the most powerful fire-breath and also produce the chemical in their skin which is used as a defense mechanism. Fire dragon eyes emit light, the intensity shows whatever they have enough energy to stay alive or not.
Now with some of the info about the structure of the fire dragon’s body done let’s give more info about Raikuen’s personality and all that. Raikuen is rather intelligent, he knows a lot of things when it come theoretical things, mostly in the way of biology and chemistry. He thinks that most of the things he knows are pretty basic and will act a bit surprised when someone doesn’t understand him. He’s interested in the way animals look and behave as long as they aren’t parasites even now that that it’s harder to be damaged by them. He wanted to live forever thus the reason for the decision for the transformation. Now he also has this magic energy that he tries to find the best uses for. He tries to become more and more powerful, expanding his magic power further and further.
He still follows his study although it’s hard for him to get in most buildings. Giant dragon hybrid creatures aren’t things you see show up every day making him a bit of an attention seeker for a while.
He does have some friends but he isn’t that social. As for hobbies he likes to game and watch anime and also do some art. Using those wings on his back is probably also a nice way for him to spend his free time.
Raikuen will try to be a kind person but doesn’t do anything with feelings. Kind of emotionless but that’s not completely true, he rather talks with words than in emotions. Just talking bad against him won’t do much as long as it isn’t getting annoying for him. He sees love as nothing but a big mistake, it’s a feeling he will never have and he doesn’t want to have either.
Well I guess that will do it for now.
