Thank you kindly! Most appreciated. I wonder if two of the fillies in the back are the two rollerskaters from the talent show in "Show Stoppers" I like to think that's Dinky Doo in the firepony's outfit, but you can't be sure.
Pity we didn't see the dynamic duo of Snips and Snails or the twits, Silverspoon and Diamond Tiara. Oooh! Or Twist!
But this episode was great with eye candy. Mr. and Mrs. Cake were Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy! Carrot Top was the devil! Big McIntosh was a vampire! And Ditzy Doo was....Ditzy!
Anyone know who were the pony in the viking costume was? Or the witch? Or the one with a black hood that made me think of Prince of Persia for some weird reason?
Also, best outfit ever? Goes to Zecora!

Fridge Brilliance 1: Zecora, an African pony, was bedecked with spiders to tell a story.
In African lore, Anansi the Spider holds dominion over stories.
Fridge Brilliance 2: Where was Rarity in this episode?
Well, who do you think made all those wonderful costumes? Poor Rarity is exhausted!

Yeah, it's kinda starting to get old. Sweetie Belle's about to kind of get a breakout episode coming up- I'd really like to see Scootaloo get her's too.
Also, personally, I'd love to see some of the fanon about Scootaloo be put to rest, anyway. Poor filly gets it about as bad as Dash sometimes.

Here's a thing for you to wonder about:
Nightmare Moon is 1001 years old...But in S1E1 She was already forgotten...So what were the ponies afraid of if She was completly forgotten? I mean sure after Her banishment, they had Her story to fear, but She was forgotten when it was S1E1...Did she came and went just like a fashionmood? Was Nightmare Moon a FAD?
Well i'm all glad Luna made Her appearance!

Well, of course the external explanation is that the writers either forgot or didn't have time to construct ironclad continuity between the two seasons of the show so far. When that happens, I usually shrug it off rather than go nuts trying to patch up the holes with any sort of tenuous fanon.
Also...If that statue was made "before moon imprisonment", then that implies, that Luna took the form of Nightmare Moon...but is not the real N.M. ... *gasp* Then She just impersonated the Nightmare Night's monster, and the true N.M. is out there, waiting to gobble up the ponies...If they not feed Her with candy! OoooOoooOOOoooOoo!
Given that Nightmare Moon spent a thousand years drifting from "clear and present danger" to "obscure boogeyman", along with the short memory span of ponies, I think it's entirely plausible that nopony recognized her initially when she appeared in the flesh for the first time a millenium.
The odds of that statue being made from an accurate visual reference are nil considering the pristine condition it's in.

Poor Scootaloo, http://www.furaffinity.net/img/smilies/sad.png
that memetic joke about her being a chicken is something she'll never be able to live down.

That's interesting, and by interesting, I mean, compulsive. 'Cause this is not entirely the topic, but an inane sidebar... <_<
Unless you do find it genuinely interesting, in such a case I can totally keep discussing sentence structure... Sentence structure... On the internet... ._.

Well, as I am currently going for a degree in English, I really do find non-standard usage of English interesting. Though I often find it annoying in formal contexts. I'm not that old, yet I can be a grumpy old man over post-modern "arty" misuses of language. Avant-garde is like my kryptonite.
Hm, well that's not as big a deal in the internet. How I talk for example, is fluent, largely, but riddled with mistakes. For the most part, I haven't met anyone who deeply cares.
...I'm sort of at a crossroads 'cause I don't feel that I can further contribute to a conversation I find genuinely insipid and I do apologize. However, I do believe you have a valid argument here... I sort of forgot what the point was after writing the preceding sentence, but in any case, I thank you for your input. :)

That was from "Over a Barrel", where Pinkie Pie misunderstands a bit of Rainbow Dash's sarcasm and thinks she's calling Fluttershy a tree: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOmsegeEM6s
