I'm still not entirely clear on if Pinkie lives there. I swear she was shown to have her house at one point. As Dash enters her home on the ground floor when she finds her depressed/cranky.
Also... if she sold the house why the pressing job concern so instantly?
It also seems a little jumpy how she just up and decides to move to Ponyville.
Why yes, I am a nitpicker how could you tell?
But really, this whole thing is fantastic ^^

Yes, she lives there. Rainbow Dash came in through a balcony door. She can do that, y'know, what with being able to fly and all.
And there are a lot of details being left out and handwaved with a simple "shortly after that she moved to Ponyville". I didn't want this comic to drag on any more than necessary.
But thanks!

If you really look at the background... to me that looks like ground level. Also, that's no balcony entry way I've ever seen. Now, Twilight's place- that has balcony doors.

Other than on back of the cupcake- which seems a bit small to be Pinkie's whole residence (though I won't argue that point much)- where would that door even go? There also seems to be a railing around that that is absent at Dash's entry point.

Anywho, I sorta figured :B but I'm crazy and like everything to be longer. And you're quite welcome ^.Q high quality product I say.

If you watch that whole episode, you'll see all kinds of establishing shots that firmly cement the cupcake-shaped garret atop Sugarcube Corner as Pinkie's residence and party headquarters. Zoom-ins on the exterior of the garret, Pinkie sticking her head out the window of the garret, etc. And yes, it does look bigger on the inside, much bigger, almost TARDIS-style. The animators take quite a bit of artistic license.
Now look at the scene you linked me again. If you really look at the background... it's ambiguous whether it's ground-level or not. We can't see what Rainbow Dash is standing on as the door opens. The railing could be juuust below the edge of the frame. Perhaps the animators even intended to put a railing in, but forgot.
So yes, Pinkie lives in the miraculously, even cartoonishly, spacious garret above Sugarcube Corner.

It IS also worthy of note that there's a second floor in the thing. That's just bizarre. And it appears to lead outside. Quite indicative of a house. SCC isn't THAT big. Also I don't recall spotting a staircase down... though I suppose one might have to go into SCC, upstairs & outside, then into the cupcake.
The BG- the given angle of the houses appear to be straight behind RD. They are not far enough away to pull that off without being level with her. And given RD's height we'd see that rail- so that would have had to have been a fluke.
If you want to believe there was just a bunch of fudgeups in the depiction that's fine, I mean, I can't say that wouldn't happen or that Pinkie wouldn't love to live up there for multiple reasons.
I just find it highly suspect. Just because she was spying from upstairs doesn't mean she lives there.

There's a staircase in that same episode! Remember the opening scene where she's doing the singing telegrams? As she says "Next time I think I'll just pass out written invitations", she's coming up the stairs. As for the angle of the houses in the BG... surely you've noticed how hilly Ponyville is?
And yes. Fudgeups in the depiction. It's a CARTOON. The animators are more interested in telling a story than in generating a 100% geometrically accurate CAD-compatible model of a building that looks like a giant gingerbread house. I say again, it's a CARTOON. It's FICTIONAL. It doesn't exist in the REAL WORLD.
I'm gonna tell Pinkie Pie that you think her residence above Sugarcube Corner is "highly suspect", and she's going to laugh at you! :}

Oh, what an awful thing to say! "Gee, Pinkie, I'm sorry the joy has gone out of your life, but I like your hair much better this way." Jeez, insensitive much?
:}
Anyway, if you like straight hair... how about her sisters? Word on the street is, they've got straight hair.

The problem with that for me is, Pinkie's straight-haired look has been ruined hard by... certain elements of the fandom, who've decided it indicates that Pinkie Pie has turned into a psychopathic, violent and dangerous murderer.
THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS
...would you settle for her wavy-haired look when she gets wet, like when she's in the lake near the beginning of "Griffon the Brush-Off"?
