A grey fox vixen, looking especially devious, invites you to her hotel room...
This piece was some practice for me with canine faces. Canine noses are especially difficult to draw. I love painting eyes, and making them look shiny.
This is another piece for Eurofurence - and its concept is in line with the conventions theme "The Unlucky Thirteen" - or will it be lucky?
Done with micron inks, and acrylic paints on 8"x10" illustration board.

The only 'odd' thing I could possibly find was that it looks like those keys cannot be staying in her mouth at that angle.
Just out of curiosity, have you tried taking this into a digital program and 'mirroring/flipping' the image? It can be a big help, to view one of your own pieces from a different perspective.
Anywho! Gorgeous, by all means. The pattern you've rendered on her outfit is one of my favorite aspects to this one. ^__^

I know how that is! But you'd never want to see any of my own 'tired' sketches. I'd have to wait until I'm fully awake / rested and start a new sketch from scratch.
In any case, I am glad you can see what I mean about the keys. Its almost as if a different approach to the shading would have improved the suggestion that the keys are being held within her mouth.
But it still rocks! And, oh, glad I came back. . .Forgot to +fav. >< Well, that's what I get for browsing just as soon as I wake up. ^_^;

Hurrah for odd angles! I *love* unusual perspectives, it always adds a certain novelty to what might otherwise have been a standard pose. Excellent job on the coy expression and those sultry eyes. And I have to disagree with the comment about keys: They're hooked with her fang and her tongue. If *I* can do that with my little stubby canines (and I can), then a fox certainly can with their larger canines.
Think you did a good job on the eyes too...
If you're planning on going closer on the eyes and have the 'eye-shine' thing going on... don't forget that the front of the eyeball bows out a bit at the iris - so any shine you have that stretches across it is going to bow out a bit and have a slightly different curve to it.... assuming you're going to go for the REAAAAAALLY realistic light effect.
(Yeah, can you tell I've been trying to study close-up / portrait photography a little too much? I'll go 'way, now....)
