It's not that old--probably only 1960s or so. I have an Electrolux XXX that's at least 60 years old (this version of this model was introduced in 1949) and a Singer handvac--excuse me, pawvac--which seems to be from the late 1920s to early '30s! And both of these machines run flawlessly! Plus I have nearly three dozen other vacuum cleaners, none of which are quite this old, in my collection.
