Definitely xP. I've seen plenty of the journals that some people post complaining about exactly this, or venting every single part of their personal lives 'cause they just aren't dealing with their own problems. I'm trying not to take up the template and making some of these myself XD.

That can go both ways, I know a art  fisk that draws porn and is pretty well know and a artist  Genesisw that doesn't and gets about the same numbers.

It absolutely goes over my head how people try to use that as an argument.

I think it's safe to assume that I as a porn artist get attention mainly from people who are looking for porn. How am I taking away the demographic of people who want to look at clean art? And more importantly, are these Artists actually complaining that they dont get attention and recognition of their artistic skills from the people who just want to see some pr0n?

And yet, we both know artists who think like this.

It all breaks down to peer-born and self-created attention disorder, in honest retrospect. So many good artists with beautiful styles, imaginations, and creativity are so put off of their expression that they shift to a non-existent blame game that creates a vicious cycle of self destruction either culminating in lifelong bitterness about "not getting enough pageviews" or "Welp, pr0nz is the only way to get any recognition" or completely leaving the site for good and taking all their work with them. THAT'S the god damn shame here, it's such a mind numbingly stupid waste of talent.

You ain't gonna change people, so why not at least take pride in creating something you find beautiful regardless of what it is; unless you're incapable of finding it beautiful and thus need the latch of others to tell you how good you really are.
