I try very VERY hard not to be a feminist or a feminazi. However yesterday in my stream something really ticked me off. And it was two dumbasses who decided that it would be fine and forking DANDY to start pitting female cartoon characters against eachother and then expressing thier excitement at how during the course of the hypothetical fight for no reason at all they would strip off all thier clothing. ....... this incited a warning from me, and i didn't bother to mask my anger at the subject matter.
one of them decided however that in changing the subject to which movie starlet he'd like to see pose nude.
...
I lost it.
I do not stand for the flagrant objectification of woman.
1. the "cat fight" is a myth, often they are staged for mens amusement, women 9 times out of 10 will scream at eachother, not come to blows and the "hot ones" would never debase themselves if they cared at all about thier apeparance. women fight silently, with quiet seething biting undercomments and angled jabs. It very RARELY comes to the point of a cat fight. Further more a woman IN a "cat fight" isn't going to tear off her clothes for no reason other than the arrousal of men who are watching.
It pisses me off when women are portrayed as fighting like clawed animals and men are portrayed as fighting like civilized neatherthals. Call me a feminist for this, i don't care. It shows me the caliber of human being you are if your going to degenerate my thoughts on this to "lol women."

Dunno, I witnessed, and ultimately called the police, over two women on the "lawn" of my apartment building because they were fighting.
Sure, for about 30 minutes it was yelling, but then one got out of the car and the other off the porch...
Lets just say they were pulling hair and trying to rip each others clothes off (although I think it was more because they were trying to get away from each other and the other would pull to bring them back... ).
Ive been in quite a few fights and im a chick myself. I love getting my hands dirty.
Although I dont think id want to strip the clothes off my opponent, unless scratching and clawing clothes off counts.

Or the mind of men; of whom everything turns to sex. No matter what the story. "I imagine my Mazzeratti being fixed, y a blonde who strips off and helps Revv my gears! Know what I mean?" or a waitress, or a French Maid or a..... Cartoon character.
Men are men and are really only tuned for one thing, "Sex, reproduce, act manly to attract more sex and reproduction"
Get angry at men all you like, slap a collar, leash or electric tazer to our balls, it ain't gonna change the guy. I say put up with the ones who know how to act and ignore the ones who don't.

People fight different ways, I've seen women fist fighting more like something out of Street Fighter, I've also seen fights where it's all hair pulling and wild swinging. The whole wrestling around on the floor ripping eachother's clothes off and they end up making out (or worse) is a silly (straight/bi) men's fantasy. I don't think it's really sexist to imagine two women pulling one another's hair since alot of the time that's what happens. Just like how 90% of fights between guys ends up with them wrestling around on the ground. Sadly I wish people would start learning to listen, if you warn them to stop talking about something in your art stream they need to respect that....
they had it comin'
ladies should be appriciated as they are, and if you want to make up fantasy scenarios? either keep them to yourself, or keep them between you and your fantasy fap fodder buddies. you wouldn't walk through the supermarket shouting that stuff (and if you did, you'd likely be escorted out) so don't open your yap about it in a public chat or art stream.

this... is awesome. <3
I totally agree though, it pisses me off when I see women fighting like this too. sexism is something I don't... take lightly.
at all.
so yeah.
honestly though, the way you drew this comic... made me laugh a little XD
especially the "KAY GUYS WHO WANTS COMMISSIONS?" 8D

very true usually when the "cat fight" breaks out it is more along the lines of pure rage between the ladies that usually ends with a bit of blood shed before the recover their senses (long nails on some ladies and all) but I think I have only seen it happen once and that was after they had been verbally sparring for over an hour and one of them finally snapped. nothing sexy at all about a real "cat fight"
I've seen real cat-fights before, and it's usually from teenage girls who have no idea how to fight. It's also more a shoving and hair-pulling contest, than any actual scratching.
Any woman that has any idea how to fight will push, shove, and slug it out, if it comes down to physical violence.
But yes, most of the time such fights don't escalate beyond yelling matches... and maybe a shove or two. Usually because someone breaks it up before it gets worse (whereas they break out the popcorn for male fights). Double standard, hmm? Oh yes, unfortunately.

I've no problem with anyone who holds this opinion, honestly. It's when a feminist turns right around and starts objectifying men that I get pissed off, and I see it far too often. I doubt feminism would carry any negative connotations at all if not for the cognitive dissonance some people display.
Yep. Also hypocrasy on thier part. You get people going off on guys like in this comic, before turning around and saying how they love a man in uniform, or they watch show x because "That guy in it is totally hot!".
There is also the issue of words like rape and objectification being diluted to the point where anything can be called objectification or rape.

I've seen females "fight" both ways. Verbal and physical. With that being said, I had to break up the fights and it isn't fun breaking them up with two women wanting to tear into each other in pure rage mode. A fine line in what you can do to a female to hold them down.
When men fight, they fight and become friends later; when women fight, it's a nuclear disaster area with the fallout lasting for a hundred years.

still the point im trying to make is that 1. it takes ALOT for women to get to that point, people whove just met arent going to just start fighing because one of them did something to another, a catfight usually is a culmination of hours if not DAYS of verbal abuse back and forth before it finally goes nuclear and yes when it does happen its vicious, not sexy at all. there's no controll on those who are undiciplined and those who are have a unique fighting style where punches and kicks trump hair pulling and clawing. But still, the idea that a woman would rip off HER OWN clothes during a fight is ... >_> to me, even IF the other female was tearing them off they wouldnt be doing it intentionally it would be to simply grab them and pull them back, not with the expressed intent of tearing them off.
From where I'm from, just add alcohol. Doesn't take days; it takes minutes. Maybe something did happen beforehand to get them to the point of no return; but with that liquid; it comes faster to the surface than normal. I really dont like seeing it though, but yeah, the aftermath is a whole lot more disturbing.
I have to agree with you. My mom is a feminist, sure, but I still can't stand objectifying women. This situation now always reminds me of a picture I saw of an Avengers Movie poster. On the left was the regular poster, with Black Widow being the only character posing in a way that would show off her ass. On the right is the modified version where the men are all in "suggestive" poses and BW is posing like a regular hero. I think everyone should be treated fairly, man or woman, and I actually make fun of people when they do objectify women. I'm also for equal treatment in that if guys want to objectify women, then women should feel free to use men as eye candy, objectifying them back.
Also, I love this comic. Your reaction is pure beauty. ^=^

Theres saying it to your friends and theres saying it in public, and for the record, no. Not without actually wanting to form relationships with them. I dont find naked men sexy, i find men clothed in snappy clothing sexy because it tells me something about them that id never get from looking at thier junk.
honestly again no, If i find someone attractive I don't put them in breifs, i put them in uniforms. If i LOVE someone then I would make them feel sexy by encouraging them when they wore such things but given that my tastes which gravitate toward tall, lanky, skinny guys, the ones that DONT build muscle easily, they tend to be more enriching in thier personalites than in thier body alone.
If i see someone I find sexy I want to strive to get to know them and i make my intentions extreamly transparent, but i won't admire how they look form afar or fap to pictures of male movie starts i don't even know. I have to love them, care for them, want to take care of them and be able to hold them to have any kind of "turn on"

Normally I'd say 'that's just the way it goes..' But I think here, I'd have to make an exception..
I guess all I can say is that both men and women should get the equal amount of respect. Well, that, and stereotyping about things like that means they obviously don't know how to act towards people of the opposite sex.

Nothing wrong with being a feminist. It's people like this guy that try to guilt you out of being one by spreading the myth that feminism means you're uptight and don't know how to be fun.
If you're at all of the mind that a woman is a human being who deserves equal respect, you're a feminist. And that's good.

You have a very strong point here, in that fantasies such as the "cat fight" are indeed quite false and demeaning.
But what about actual, honest-to-goodness fights?
Some of us have long marveled at the war of words between Winston Churchill and Mohandas Gandhi.
But a few of us have also considered the outcome of having the two of them step into the ring. Churchill's got weight, but Gandhi's got moves.
(Bruce Campbell Vs. Elvis is another one. My money is on Campbell)
Now, if Princess Diana and Martha Stewart were to go at it, I don't think their would be any hair-pulling or scratching-- I think Di would cold cock that bitch with a haymaker and be done with it. Yes, she's the prim and proper British type, but she was also a babysitter for several years. You learn things dealing with kids that no amount of time in a board room will teach you.
Also, aren't a lot of female cartoon characters these days known for being able to carry their weight well in a fight? At lest they were when I was a kid.
I happen to think that seeing a fight between two woman would be interesting. And yes, maybe even a little arousing. But I make that claim knowing that a real fight would involve less clothes-stripping and more black eyes.
And I still love your T-shirts.
