Eric and Michele Light had come out to Colorado to visit and we took a trip to the zoo. While there we saw a Tamandua that started us chatting about painting anteaters. We decided to get together and each paint an anteater before FC. She did an adorable Giant Anteater and I of course did a Tamandua. I was afraid it would not get much attention due to the fact itβs not a popular animal but to my surprise did quite well. I really enjoy doing many of the unusual animals and hope to create more in the future.

Natasha, GOTTA say, pretty much anything you pour your love and talent into, is going to be looked upon with interest. I know I've yet to see something of yours that doesn't come across as, at least interesting on a technical level, if not on a creative subject level. As for your Tamandua here, this is drop dead amazing! You captured the odd anatomy stunningly, and his/her fur! It looks so deliciously soft. Your choice of accenting jewelry and pose is as always very taste-y, and the light through the trees makes this piece just come together wonderfully. I know, myself and Bloodi are huge fans of the anteater type. So nice to see new works! ^^
