A Question For The Masses
Does anyone else ever feel like even though they're part of this open and wonderfully diverse community, you still feel segregated? You draw the art, socialize, suit, go to conventions, and all because you genuinely want to, and you're treated like a ghost? So I'm not gay. So, I'm not into vore or diapers or transformation or any other extreme fetishes. But I don't see that as a reason to be "forgotten about," especially when you engage with people who share a common interest on a daily basis. I'm here because I am what I am and I love my friends, but I have to wonder if not being a stereotype makes me a stranger.
So yeah, you're not alone here. I think most of us go through that at some point or another.
Also, remember that being an A-list furry comes with a crazy amount of judgment. I'm glad I'm not one. ^^
And things seem hard or tough
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft
And you feel that you've had quite enough...
Please don't worry, I sometimes wish people would look more at my art, but I figured if their not it's their loss, not mine...
But seriously, if your friends are ignoring you, that's their fault. Start by telling them how you feel. If they laugh, f*** cough forget about them. Trolls notwithstanding, there are more new furries everyday to make friends with.
Its a little like the gay community also..the loud and flamboyant ones get the spotlight, and thus we are all seen as being that way. Most of us that have a decent head on our shoulders just get shrugged to the side, which is just fine hehe.
