Art Status and birds

My apologies for my recent inactivity, mostly to those who are awaiting commissions from me. Your sketches have been on somewhat of a hiatus when I had a couple of days in a row where anything I was drawing, turned out terrible. Following that, I've had problems with my elbow again on my drawing arm. If it's acting up, it tends to hurt when I draw and my hand cramps from holding a pencil. It seems to be feeling a bit better today though, so I should be back on track over the weekend.
Otherwise, I've been getting up earlier in the mornings and going for a bike ride every morning (it's made me feel a lot better), partly because I love it, and partly because I love birdwatching. So I've been taking my camera out with me and I've been seeing all sorts of cool birds. There's been a couple of days when I've seen 4 species of woodpecker on one ride. I love woodpecker birds, they're beautiful. So far I've seen the Downy, the Red-bellied, the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and the Pileated. I've also seen a Hairy woodpecker a couple of months back, so 5 woodpecked species is quite the acheivement for me. My favourite is definitely the Pileated though. They are such beautiful birds. I haven't managed a really good photo of one yet, but I've got some decent ones. I've actually kind of been wanting to have an animal journal on my livejournal page too... but I don't want to mix the art and the animal photo stuff.. I dunno. Also, despite how common and conspicuous they are. Blue Jays have been proving most elusive to photograph. Either they're too far away or constantly moving etc. I will get them though... I'm determined.

My apologies for the delay in response. Yes I am still taking commissions. There would be a little bit of a wait, but if you don't mind that, then there's no problem. In terms of details, I would need reference images of the character and/or a detailed description of their markings etc. Along with any specifics of a pose that you would want them in, unless you just want me to come up with a pose myself. I believe that's all... feel free to note me about it if you are still interested =)
